Fred Smoot and Lavar Arrington Goodbye!! A bit of a Rant

So they both have been cut by the teams they left the Redskins for.

You weren't worthy of what you were asking for before you left.

Lavar you weren't playing because you couldn't learn the defense and you didn't play for almost 3yrs because you keep getting hurt. It's not that no one didn't like you.

Smoot, you got a BIG mouth. Maybe you could keep it shut and learn to play NFL ball. You are not the main CB on a team. You have to find a place where you're second, hell you might be able to only play nickel or dime.

This is because they talked a lot of shit when they left.

Thanks for letting me RANT!

Well, to be honest, blame the looney owner for paying them that much.

Dan Snyder is as far as owners go, if you ask me. And I'm putting him above Al Davis's -ness.

What I'm saying it that Syder didn't pay these two ALL the money they wanted, he got it right.

They tried to get a cover guy with him. It's not working out. But he is a good player, though him and Taylor play the same. Someone else will have to come in for Arch.

haha unfortunately Gibbs is bringing Archuleta back....

as for Smoot, I heard talks on the radio/news that the skins are thinking about bringing him back...

Our defense needs help, but not from him....

I saw this bit on the NFL Network last year, before the first Giants-Redskins game, where they were in the Skins' locker room asking some assistant coach if he was worried that Arrington was giving NY inside info on their defensive schemes. He said something like, "well he'd have to understand them in the first place to do that!" I was like "Oh shit"... You could even hear some of the players reacting to it in the background. Classic!

they released Vincent a couple weeks ago...

I wouldn't be surprised if Springs ends up getting traded/cut before the season starts. They're still trying to restructure his contract. Plus, Springs is getting old (32) and faced a lot of injuries from the past season...

If Smoot plays the way he did when he was first in town and we have Springs on the other side... our defensive is definitely going to improve... Smoot is definitely better than Rogers, he blew with coverage....maybe we can make a miracle move and get Champ Bailey back...

this should be interesting to see what plays out...

ESPN.com

DENVER -- The Broncos have heard cornerback Dre' Bly is bitter about being traded to Denver, and that he'd prefer to play for Washington....

If Bly doesn't come around, the Broncos could probably still get a deal done with the Redskins. A report on the Washington Post Web site on Tuesday night said that the team has restructured contracts in an attempt to make room for the defensive back.

You eagles fan are a joke, this is about Fred Smoot and L. A. not about your philly chokestakes.
