that's why i said drexler would guard him since both came off the bench.
even if williams, paul, wade, etc can get past their defenders, you're still gonna run into robinson or ewing.
the '92 dream team played great team and individual defense. jordan, pippen, robinson, malone, heck even stockton were all known to be great defenders.
so the question is, did you watch any of the dream team games or in fact, did you see any of the dream team players in their primes?

i understand that the world has gotten better but from watching BOTH teams play...i still think that the dream team would have systematically broken down every team a whole lot better than the redeem team

I'd say the Dream Team wins in 6 or 7 in a best-of-7 series. Better but not by leaps and bounds. I think the one thing everyone forgets (or isn't mentioning) is now the level of competition around the world is way better than it was in '92. So it's almost like comparing apples & oranges.

I'd say the Dream Team wins in 6 or 7 in a best-of-7 series. Better but not by leaps and bounds. I think the one thing everyone forgets (or isn't mentioning) is now the level of competition around the world is way better than it was in '92. So it's almost like comparing apples & oranges.
that's been mentioned several times in this thread...
other than the pg position, i think the redeem team is deeper because:
1) christian laettner is obviously the weakest link on the DT
2) larry bird was at the end of his career and only a shell of himself in '92
but with the RT starting jason kidd most of the games, the pg matchup isn't that lopsided until cp3 and deron are playing.
