The replays of the head butt were interesting. From the front it looked like he was banging heads, but from the rear helicopter view it looked like he was making contact with Julian Dean's shoulder and not his head.
I know on the very rare occasions that I'm moving that fast (downhill with a tailwind) I'm not looking to even come close to making contact with anybody.

Watched the replay of that stage last night ^^.
WTF was he doing with those headbutts? Seemed like a silly way to "get space," even if that is a sort of track move or whatever. I cannot imagine trying to do that at those crazy speeds. The blocking after sucked. I hate when ppl get blocked in sprints.
I hope Thor can regain the green. Petacchi has earned it though, with some strong riding so far.

I was glad to see Vinokourov get the stage win yesterday after that dick move by Contador the day before.
And I couldn't believe he had the legs to tear the peloton apart again today toward the end of the stage.

I'm anxious to watch it tonight to see if Contador clearly attacked Schleck after he knew his chain slipped or not. Contador is playing it off as he had no idea what happened and was already attacking when it happened.

Good ride by Armstrong today. Too bad he didn't have it in him to win at the end.

awesome Beelzebub (going back to watch the tour again, and the pic with the Devil guy lol).
I was thinking this year while watching the tour that I should head to France one year while the tour is on. Must be awesome to see them riding in person etc. I dunno about riding up those mountains though. :S
Step one is to buy a road bike this year, and get to riding that. I think I'm going to wait for the new models to come out so I can pick something up with the new Sram Apex groupo (no fancy stuff for me, only starting out with road stuff).

Hard to tell how this tour would have played out without the chain incident, because Contador would have had to ride the last two stages entirely differently than he did.
Shleck will be a serious force for a long time. It's probably good for cycling that there are two riders so closely matched at the top of the sport, and that one of them is easy to like and the other is easy to dislike. Makes for a good spectacle.
