He only needs the little motor for the mountain stages.

I hope today's fiasco doesn't result in a protest for the stage tomorrow. The pavé should make for some challenging racing.

Today's stage was really good compared to yesterday's. Cancellara was a beast again at the end. He and Andy Shlek did all the work for the first group. Lance got screwed by an equipment problem apparently but his effort to catch that third group was pretty impressive.
Contador did a nice job on the cobbles, but I'm certain that in this case it was the bike.

Damn that the heck happened today???
I prob wont have time to watch the stage tonight. I hope lance can make up that time he lost.
I don't have TV in my house up here, so I gave in and got the Versus HD streaming thing. I can watch stuff on demand anytime I want now.

I was hoping Thor would get another stage win today, but nice ride by Petacchi.
Can anyone confirm Heinrick Houssler is out? I think I heard them say he had to leave the tour due to injury. If yes, damn, he has some bad luck with injuries etc.

This is hilarious
As part of a new initiative from cycling’s governing body, the UCI, another three bikes were scanned following the stage yesterday to ensure that there are no performance-enhancing devices inside the frames. The riders who presented their bikes to officials in Reims were Alessandro Petacchi (LAM), Christophe Kern (COF) and Benoit Vaugrenard (FDJ). No engines were found.

I just watched the end of today's stage. I think Petacchi would have taken today's stage if he didn't get kinda blocked by one of the Garmin riders slowing down near the finish, by the fence. His timing would have been great to get the slight jump FTW.

Today's stage was good. Chavanel really put on a show at the end. He's going to be sore.
Cancellara didn't look like he was enjoying the climbs.

In a way I feel kinda bad for Armstrong since it looked like he was in pretty good form this year. I guess he entered into pro cycling as a domestique and he will be leaving as one. It will be interested to see how Levi climbs in the Pyrenees. I don't think he can hang with Contador/Schleck, but he might be able to get on the podium. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

This Schleck-Contador rivalry will be great. I'd like to see Andy win it as well, but at the same time, I'd like to see Contador attack, the way Schleck has the last couple stages, just to see if Schleck can respond. He's going to need a decent gap before that final TT to have any dream of winning the Tour.
Also, Jens Voigt is the freakin' man.

I'm with you two. I would really like to see Andy win it this year after coming so close the past years. We may be surprised with how he can TT if it comes down to winning or losing. He still is going to have to have a good gap to Contador, but it may not have to be as huge as some think.

I always tack on the following show so I don't miss the end.
