What Would Don Draper Do?
i'd actually like to watch this.
i'm a soccer freak, and so many people bash soccer before even giving it a try or a chance. i'd like to give cricket a look.

bob woolmer passed away, inzi's retiring after the match against zimbabwe coming up... big changes in the offing for pakistani cricket.
woolmer's death should hopefully give some perspective to the idiots back home who were burning him and the captain in effigy. it's just a game.
on a lighter note, gibbs' sixes were insane. that poor bowler is going to be stuck in the record books forever as the first bowler to give up 6 6s in international cricket

Do you guys think Indian players got money to lose against Bangladesh? A lot of people are suspicious. I think Bangladesh just played really good.

the sad after-effect of the match-fixing scandals is that every upset is now looked at suspiciously. i think bangladesh has come a long way in the past 3-4 years, and have already beaten all the south asian teams at least once, as well as having come close to recording a test victory or two. as well, it was india's first match at this world cup, and i don't think they would take the chance with losing the first game, especially since a loss against sri lanka will put them on the same flight back as the pakistanis.

Good pics. They certainly feed the Bermuda players well. What's with the uniforms of Bermuda and England? They're almost exactly the same.

^^ I've read that in a couple other places, but personally I don't see how and why. Why would anyone want to get rid of a coach whose contract was expiring after the world cup anyway? I believe one of his last interviews mentioned the stress associated with the job, and how he was looking forward to leaving international cricket. Based on that, I'm inclined to think heart attack.
The blame for Pakistan's early exit rests 90% with the players themselves. The coach's job in cricket ends with the call of the toss. After that, it's up to the 11 people on the field to do their best, and that is where the Pakistanis failed, as a team. He was probably the best coach we've had in our cricketing history, it just sucks that as a nation we're too quick to criticise as soon as the going gets a little tough.
I just hope we can get a decent coach, and start rebuilding the team.
