damn ucla... The only team I was really rooting for. Luckily in my real bracket I had them losing to duke, so it's not too bad....
but the bracket I filled out the way I wanted it to go down, UCLA won it all

damn USC lost too. I was doing pretty good but I had SC going to the elite 8. The USC/UCLA game in the pac10 tournament was the only game I watched all season, and USC was impressive. Taj Gibson didn't show up at all in this game and it was still close.

Watching these games is really turning me off college ball. The top seeds are full of huge, muscular beasts with a couple of lightning fast guards and EVERYONE can dunk and no one can play defense any more. Time to raise the rims to 11 feet or start calling traveling again.
Meanwhile only half can spell their own names and shoot 60% from the foul line.
14 of the top 16 seeds survived and most weren't even tested. It was the least amount of fun I've had watching the first two rounds in 25 years.

Louisville > UNC
Btw I got 14 picks in the sweet 16. Luckily a lot of people in my pay bracket put PITT as champions and of all the #1 seeds they definitely look the most vulnerable to lose first

Let me guess: You missed Purdue and Arizona. The guy who simply picks the lower number by the team to win has the lead so far.

for the office pool, i submitted a bracket with pitt being the only non #1 seed to win it.
i have pitt, mich. st., memphis, and gonzaga.
i don't think gonzaga will beat UNC, but if i picked UNC and louisville, i'd end up splitting the winning with about 15 other guys.
however, IF gonzaga and mich. st make the final four, i win. doubt it will happen, but i was trying to be bold.

Memphis... I swear if they could only make some fucking free throws.... they would have been champions last year and won this game this year. MASSIVE
Although I'm still #1 in our 4 person az bracket

That was an amazing shot by Fields. I got to hand it to Blair, no one outworks (or outsweats) that guy on the floor.
Anybody notice the big white kid for Xavier stare down the Pitt guard who accidentally tripped him at the halftime buzzer? Xavier has taken over the thug role from Cincinnati. Not sad to see them go.

Say it ain't so.
I don't think they're that bad...I mean, Huggins isn't coaching them or anything

Anyways, just got this email:
Gillispie out as Kentucky opts for coaching change
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Billy Gillispie is out as Kentucky's basketball coach.
The university says it will announce "a change in the head coaching position of the men's basketball program" at a 4:30 p.m. news conference. University president Lee T. Todd Jr. and athletic director Mitch Barnhart are expected to attend.
Gillispie was in his second year as coach of the Wildcats, whose season ended Wednesday with a loss to Notre Dame in the National Invitation Tournament quarterfinals. Gillispie is 40-27.
He agreed to a seven-year deal that pays him a base annual salary of $2.3 million.

I would say that Arizona and Syracuse sent their JV squads but the JV would've put in some actual effort.
Pathetic display of going through the motions. These guys are already counting their NBA money. The rule that guys can't go straight to the pros from high school is killing college ball.
This continues to be the worst NCAA tourney ever.

Well my bracket is kinda fucked lol. Kansas giving up the lead again...
Oh well. Gonna be some good next matchups. I would not be surprised at all if Nova beat Pitt. And UConn Mizzou should be good but I still expect UConn to pull it off. As far as tomorrow's games... L'Ville should handle Mich St. with no problem and the UNC OU game looks damn good Griffin vs Hansbrough
