Cal fired Tedford. Can't say I'll miss seeing that smug look on his face on the sidelines.

He started out with so much promise, turned Cal around and accomplished a lot with stadium renovation and athletic facilities. That being said, he never took the Golden Bears to the Rose Bowl and couldn't implement his Oregon-style offense after Aaron Rogers left in 2004. Big Game was such a huge deal when I was in school but recently Stanford vs. USC and Oregon have been far more interesting. I wonder who will be their next coach?

He had a lot of success the first six years; the last five have been marginal, at best, on average.

Haven't heard any speculation on replacements yet. There will be several coaches fired from the SEC and Kiffin's looking more and more likely to exit USC at the end of year, but who knows? The coaching carousel is weird.

So I watched most of the LSU vs Arkansas game today and all I have to say is LSU is the worst 2 loss team. No offense, incredibly boring to watch, has barely escaped half of their games this season.

At least I can feel good that if it comes down to LSU and A&M for an at large bid (FL will lose to FSU tomorrow, duh) that we will get the at large spot because we have one of the most exciting teams to watch and any bowl committee would dumb as hell if they picked boring LSU over A&M (except for the Sugar Bowl of course since it is a given LSU would get picked for it). I wouldn't have minded a UT/A&M Cotton Bowl but that is out the window now.

It won't matter how some people feel, if Alabama fouls up, and we get into the SEC game.. They won't deny the SEC champ a bid for anyone else on the west.. Now Florida on the other hand has that chance no matter what happens in the SEC champ game.

They need to demolish state today to further that, though.

And LSU is just inconsistent, not bad in the least.

We had to fight off Arkansas, which Alabama blew out by 50 points, and lost to Alabama within the last 60 seconds of play. And of course bet A&M that made work of Alabama..

The definition of inconsistent haha.

They have identity issues, but they are far from the worst of anything, quite possibly the most talented defense in the country personnel wise.

The system is still inherently bad. Inherently meaning rankings unduly influence how 'big' a game is. LSU looks horrible. USC was never really a #2 or maybe not even a top 25. And who the heck let ND back into relevance?

My BCS... Fuck Clemson and the ACC... ha, ha, ha, ha. Congrats to my Florida SEC bros (even though you beat us like a high school team).

And fuck UGA, you know who that 1 comes from.

After their performance against a severely weakened USC team, I don't see ND beating and Alabama, UGA, or Florida. They failed to get TD's in the redzone time and time again, and if it wasn't for their iron-wall defense, might have lost to USC. I really don't have anything against them, (Brian Kelly ditching my Bearcats aside) but I cannot envision a ND victory over the SEC.

ND's offense is mediocre at best. Their defense has to get TOs and neutralize the opponent's running game to have a chance. That being said, I presumed ND had no chance against Oklahoma and they pulled it out. One can't argue with a undefeated record and I hope the NC will be somewhat competitive. They may have barely gotten by Pitt, Stanford, etc. but they did not get blown out by A&M. As overrated as ND may be, I'm delighted that I won't have to endure another all-SEC snoozefest like last season.

Stanford looked good. 2nd week in a row our heralded D shut down a Doak Walker candidate. Rematch this Friday against UCLA, winner takes the Roses

Should be a good game! Glad it's not Oregon-USC like everyone predicted HA. Pretty remarkable seeing a packed Rose Bowl stadium for a UCLA football game, seems like it's been awhile.

Ok, not Murray's fault, I didn't see the pass get tipped in the resturaunt where I was watching the game, so it looked like Murray was actually targeting Conley, but he was trying to get it into the endzone.

So WTF Richt for telling Murray not to spike the ball.

The Nebraska/Wisconsin has broken my heart. The Huskers need a rush defense like yesterday.

imj0257... I had to pull some crazy pics against my better judgement to tie your ass on the Yahoo fantasy board. Never thought I could make up three games in the last week of the regular season.

Cotton Bowl - OU vs A&M. IMO, best bowl matchup other than ND vs BAMA and Oregon vs KState.

BOWL PICK'eM - invites have been sent out if you played last year.

I ended up getting free tickets, transportation, and hotel for the Belk Bowl. My Bearcats pulled it out with an fumble recovery and deflection/interception in the last 80 seconds of the game for a 48-34 victory.

Stanford!!! 1st Rose Bowl win in 41 years. Game was a doozer though, especially 2nd half. All defense.

Hope it's not a bloodbath this afternoon and Louisville puts up a better fight than N. Illinois.

I want to say that Florida just doesn't give a shit (i.e. Alabama v Utah) but damn its great seeing these SEC teams lose(ing).

Still don't know who I want to win the NC game. I dislike Notre Dame fans almost as much as SEC fans.
Why oh why did Kansas St lose to Baylor.

Haha Gators Seeing Smith and Tebow pouting on the sidelines was priceless.

Looking forward to Fiesta Bowl, 1 month ago this could have been for the NC.
