Carolina looked like they might squeek it out today, but to my great pleasure they did not. Although, I should not talk b/c the Hoos lost to Dook today, and I had some hope that they could actually win. Now, here is an interesting question to ponder:

I think it was bad coaching (on Duke's part) in the last 24 seconds of the game. If you're up by 3, foul the guy as soon as they inbound the ball. That way, there's no chance of a 3 point play to tie the game up. You don't let the guy bring the ball up the court and hope he doesn't make the shot. Send him to the line and make him hit the free throws. Well, that's my coacing

Yea, Fear the Turtle!!! As an Terps alumni, it really made my day. 20 years in between tounament champ is a hell of long time! I think the accomplishment of this young team is also unprecedented in ACC. To beat the top three seeds to become champion, has never happend before in ACC. This is like the 1980 US hockey team that won the Olympic gold metal. A freaking miracle

ACC tourney doesn't really mean that much. It's almost like having the best record in Baseball then losing in the first round of the playoffs (ala the Mariners), or like going undefeated all season and losing in the first round of the conference tourny (ala St. Joe's).
March Madness is really where it's at. Don't get me wrong...winning the conference tourney is nice.... but you're one of hundreds of conference champs... big whoop. To win it all you need to win in San Antonio on April 5th .
