I kinda feel sorry for Iverson... he's gettin' older, and has no "ring", meanwhile his ol' team is still hangin' in there with Detroit... and might actually have a chance to go to the next round
|
Bosh was owned by Howard sure. But he got no help whatsoever. The Raptors as a whole are/were the worst team in the East/league the last quarter of the season.
|
:woot: Magic.
What a game for the Hawks! |
lol look at Landry - http://www.intentionalfoul.com/nba/carl-landry-says-hi/

but whenever i start feeling sorry for an athlete, i realize how much they're making from salary and endorsements and the fact that they get to play basketball for a living. then i lose any kind of sympathy. |

lucky to even be in the playoffs... soft jump shooting teams never do well. Good thing is that there will be a lot of changes in the off season. |
I predict it will be the Lakers vs Hornets for the Western Conference Final?

BTW, after watching the Spurs take the series 4-1. Marion>Shaq. Suns should be kicking themselves for that trade. |
And then, when the Magic do beat the Lakers, :ibKobeswhiningforHowardtobeonhisteam:... :D
|
Yeah I'm rooting for the Magic to win the Championship!

but that's a different argument than what i posted, which was a response to is300eater's post. but either way, we're getting off topic now. let's go houston! :wish: |
I predicted the Magic to come out of the East at the beginning of the season. Or once they signed rashard. I hope it comes true, as much as I still want to see a lakers/celtics finals.
I have to root for the lakers, although I think the Jazz (who should beat the rockets) would be a tough series. I hope the bugs can take out the spurs. I'm tired of seeing them in the playoffs. |

Now, I have for you all, today's episode of 'Why Deshawn Stevenson is an idiot':

Suns went out with a wimper. They likely would have been better off not making that trade. I think the curtain has officially closed on their window of opportunity.
|
They haven't beat them in a series with Marion, at least they tried something different. They are screwed with Shaq's contract though.

The Game 1 loss definitely took a big hit on them mentally, just the way they lost after sucha hard fought game.
|
i agree that they had to do something.
obviously, it didn't work out. but how many of us thought it would have anyways? looks like d'antoni's on his way out. their lack of defense was really the key. +1 for the hornets. i do not want to see the spurs again. |
I hate the Mavs sooo much.
My balls have been blue since 2003. |
I think the Mavs might be looking for a new coach too

I'd like to see how your point guard situation pans out; in D'Antoni's system, the point guard's ability to get past people is the most important aspect (hence, why having a plodding big like Shaq was NEVER gonna work for him). |

it's too bad, while I don't care for any of their players (Mavs), I actually like Avery
|
I wouldn't be surprised either way if they kept/dumped their coach. Riley never got fired from NY or Miami when they couldn't pass Chicago or NY. Sometimes, teams just have to wait for dynasties to die.

It's a shame, and I think it's why they get injury prone near the end of the year, especially in the playoffs. They just get worn out. Grant hill was meant to fill a good chunk of Marion's shoes. They beat the Spurs a few times this year, and they had a very good chance of beating them, had they had their entire roster. Oh, and trading Tim Thomas was stupid. - Frank |
