I've posted them before, just not on AZ.

But if the first round keeps going the way it is, it'll be .. pretty damn short.

Re: that, I was listening to Dan Patrick yesterday, and Stern wants to get rid of all flopping. He hates it. But the rules committee still like it. I think it has something to do more with players like Shaq coming and just bowling over everyone.

Its tough with the flopping thing. AK47 flops like no other, but for his side it was a good play. Vlade did it all the time, and so does my man Fish. I think it ruins the game, but I love it when Fish does it and gets the call.

If they change it, we'd still be in the same mess. First, you try to stop it by having the refs call a tech or something, but how do you know whats a real flop or not? You're back into the same dilemma of refs determining the game.

i wish they'd get rid of flopping too.

it is a judgement call by the refs or whomever, but it ruins the game, in my opinion.

i think they should review tapes of games and fine or even suspend (if they have to) players afterwards. they're already reviewing tapes anyways.

I think this would be a good idea. Rather than making it an in game decision, its done post game. They do it for determining if a foul is flagrant now too.

I remember when they just didn't used to call a charge for that stuff or any of that flagrant foul stuff. In fact I remember watching Rambis and McHale get into a full on fist fight back in the 80s. After they seperated the players, Rambis went to the free throw line and sunk a couple of free throws, with McHale still in the game. No stoppage in the game, no technicals. Its weird looking back at it now.....

Landry's block and save was great, and Skip's kiss was hilarious!

AK47's non-stop flopping just makes me want Utah to lose even more.

yea. i wouldn't want to see the flow of the game stopped to review a flop. also, the players will know the consequences.

it'll still be a judgement call. and it'll be a tough call to make especially when someone like shaq's involved. but more often than not, you see blatantly obvious vlade flops.

I don't mind flops if the "foul" was more legit. I mean when someone is clearly reaching and you want to be over dramatic, I'm cool with that. But when you intentionally wrap yourself up with the other guy and flop, not cool and that's what AK did twice in the last 2 mins. That I would love to have a technical foul called on that.

and to you comment on going on 7 games Carbon, Can your almighty lakers not handle it? DO they need rest? Poor lakers gonna lose if they don't get some nap time? Man my buddies keep telling me that too and it makes me think that deep down yall know LA can't hang Yall La folks would love to have it easy huh? Keep wishing.... (what jedi said)

No, I think reviewing it after the game would cause too much controversy. I think a tech right then and there would send a good enough message because for those constant floppers, only two techs take you out of the game...no need for fine or suspension because no one got hurt or in a fight.

problem is that the refs are going to miss things throughout the game.

ideally, that would be the best situation where a tech is given at the moment. however, the refs are human and aren't going to be able to catch it.

if the refs miss a flop, like ak47's, then i think it would cut down on the flopping if they reviewed the tape and then fined the player. don't players have to pay a fine if they receive a tech anyways?

this way, players won't think they can get away with it.

and Landry saved the game...I was bout to kill T-mac for taking that last shot because of how he was defended, by THREE guys, someone had to have been open. I love T-Mac but he's gotta work on some things...he's killing me!

and I'm torn about Yao....I mean the olympics are great and all, but he's geting paid 13 mil to play in the NBA and the goal is to win a championship...I mean china's getting some of his money I'm sure of it...I don't know if I can put all the blame on him cause I know China is twisting his arm as well....

i agree t-mac has a LOT to work on...if he was really on point, the games wouldn't be so close, same if they could hit more freethrows overall...

Easy now. It would help us if we had more time to get Bynum and Ariza back. I'd love for my 14 time world championship organization to have it easy, sure. But I also enjoy good basketball, and your Rockets have been providing my fellow basketball fan. Seven games give you more time to get wins anyways.

You'll get enough smack from your Southland friends, so I'll just comment on ball here if you don't mind. I'll go to Yahoo blogs to look at mindless troll comments.

What Jedi said is what I agreed with and elaborated on. I think we pretty much agree that in-game puts way to much on refs as it is. Fine em big and suspend em for the action in the post game, and you'd put a pretty good stop to it.

It would just be impractical in the game though.

Nice flagrant by Stevenson on Lebron...reiterates how big of a bitch he is and how much Lebron owns him.

^ why avery? Maybe it's not the coach but the players? Aside from a consitant Dirk, who else do they have that's consistant? Howard? Terry? kidd? those three are all pretty streaky if you ask me. So putting all the blame on Avery and kicking him out ain't gonna solve all their problems.

i think it's more Cuban's fault than Avery's

either way, Cuban is going to blow this team up in the offseason, including replacing the coach

BOS @ ATL: score 13 - 3 in under 3 minutes. I would say the Celtics are pretty pissed about losing Saturday night.
