TOKICO HP and Illumina Shocks: Acura CL, TL, TSX!!!!

This is an Acurazine Special Pricing Event for TOKICO HP and Illumina shocks for the Acura CL 96-03, TL 99-08, and the TSX 04-08. If you are interested in any other TOKICO product please PM me. Here is some information.

TOKICO's HP Series - the famous "Blue Shock" - continues to be the overwhelming choice of performance enthusiasts looking for the best in overall handling and ride quality. The HP Series damping typifies TOKICO's valving flexibility and philosophy by minimizing low speed damping force and greatly increasing damping at medium and high piston speeds for improved compliance, tire adhesion and handling.

For the serious enthusiast, TOKICO offers five-position adjustable Illumina Series shocks and struts. Its sophisticated adjustment system was designed for tuning street suspensions, so you have the ability to set up your car’s handling for a variety of driving environments.

Using a screwdriver, a simple click indicates your change to ride or handling balance. So whether you’re going to the track, or simply cruising, the Illumina’s adjustment range adapts to your needs.

Internally, Illumina uses TOKICO’s sophisticated multi-stage, variable-aperture piston and valve system combined with a five-position bypass shutter-valve. This valve system allows simultaneous rebound and compression damping adjustment. A shutter-valve detent permits making easy adjustments, so that you can make quick changes and still know which setting you’ve chosen.

Shipping times will depend upon your location. Prices are based on shipping to the 48 continental states in the U.S.

The following payment terms are accepted: Bank or Teller Check, Money Order, sent to:

I also want to let the AZ community know that I have become an Authorized Master Distributor for TOKICO, which is important for 2 reasons:

1. I do keep a good amount of inventory in stock so it can ship promptly.
2. I am authorized to sell and facilitate the warranty process for TOKICO.

TOKICO offers a limited lifetime warranty for all of our suspension products purchased for street use. Products used or designed for competition are not covered under warranty.

The lifetime warranty is based on you not causing the damage yourself like damaging the piston rod when installing the shock. The warranty is also only for the original purchaser.

These shocks are designed to work with lowering springs so it will be a perfect match for a spring with a moderate drop but not a drop like Skunk2 springs or cheap sleeve and spring coilovers.

Yes direct replacement. In the rear you will need a washer to go in between the rear hub and the lower shock bushing. That's it.

scotterson, Yes it will work with lowering springs liek the ones you listed. And yes it is $290 shipped ot the cont US

Quick question, how does the warranty process work? Do you have to buy a new shock, send in the old shock to let them determine if it warrantable and if it is, you get credit towards a new shock instead of a refund from the purchase of the replacement?

Just a regular M12 washer if I recall correctly that is about the size of a quarter.

You would have to send your "bad" shock in and TOKICO would determine whether it is under warranty and then then would send a replacement.

Got the HP's I order from you last week this Monday (fast shipping!) and had them installed yesterday. Paired with the H&R sports, the ride is nice and controlled, not not even close to harsh. Feels like a new car. I had 97k on the stock shocks, so there's huge difference in ride quality. Thanks Excelerate!

You're gonna be very happy. You really don't realize how your stock shocks have deteriorated because it happens gradually over the years. If you're lowered, that deterioration happens even quicker (or so I'm told). I've always used KYBs in past vehicles, but I'm sold on Tokico after this!
