Here is the DIY thread on how to easily replace your HID bulbs.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/diy-hid-bulb-change-w-o-bumper-removal-3g-garage-g-004-a-598853/

If you are deterred by the fact you think these might be hard to swap, have no fear, it is easy!

let me just say these bulbs are awesome, I put them in last night, I couldn't wait, anyone thinking of getting these, do it!
Also anyone that has the switchbacks from v-led's and is looking for a bulb to match, this is it, I got the 6000k and it matches almost perfectly!

Its just the HID bulb type. D2S is typically used in projector type HID housings and D2R is used in reflector type HID housings. D2C can be used in either one.

1. No
2. No, actually the 5000k would be brighter than the 6500k.

2003 cls

Hello,

My 2003 cls passenger low beam went out. I traded with the other light and the bulb is fine. Checked the fuse, it is blown, replace fuse. New fuse goes out immediately. Must be the ballast. Will your kit replace or must I use the factory ballast?

Thanks, Bryan

Josh, does the 6000k look similar to the HID on the BMW's? If so, these bulbs are just a straight replacement for our stock bulbs with no other mods right? I want a better looking lights than stock.

No these are just replacement bulbs.

I believe the 6000K is close to the factory BMW lights. BMW has a blue tint in their bulbs although it really isn't 6000 - it's closer to 5000K. These are a direct replacement.

You have a KAIXEN HID Conversion kit and you want replacement bulbs for the kit or you want to convert your 9005 or 9006 bulb setup to an HID setup?

Just ordered a pair of 5000K's Excited to put them in! VERY reasonable pricing. They come today too! Now will I notice anything different from my older stock bulbs? I heard the stock bulbs are 4300K. Are these "5000K's" technically 5000K or are they also 4300 like OEM. I am just wondering what the differences will be. I know not much. Just curious. Thanks!

They are 5000k. Lumen (light output) is very similar to the factory 4300k. Thge 5000k will be a bit whiter.
