Yes the AEM and Injen are higher quality. The generic intake is a little less sturdy and it doesn't have R&D behind it. It does use a K&N filter though so the filter is good quality.

It is the Medallion Touring with Advantex technology. Piping size is 60mm in the mid pipe and it goes down to 50mm at the axlebacks.
