I talked to Marcus this morning, you are the 3rd person in 2 days wanting the same part and there are basically none on the country right now.
An order is in enroute from Japan- but it's a slow boat
If you place your order online- when the shipment arrives your bar gets sent out first
If you wait till they come in- they are gone!

If you want one- grab it quick or wait for another month when the next shipment arrives from Japan

A little education
To help new ziners or those new to suspension mods- here are the basics of the bars and why they work:
When you look under the car in the front, you see 2 frame rails running up from the mid point of the car to the engine area.
The lower Cusco bar fixes these 2 rails together near the lower suspension mounts, thus keeping the lower suspension and steering in line with itself under cornering loads and drastic lane change type manuevers
This substanially reduces the delay in steering response
Looking under the hood you see a bar going across and under the firewall edge.
That ties the body panels to the firewall- keeping them located in relation to each other, but doing very little to keep the upper mounts for the suspension steady.
The Cusco upper bar attaches to the upper strut mount at the body and connects the top of the strut towers as a solid unit
With the 2 bars in place substanially reduce flex from the frame and suspension mount area
Good handling begins with the shocks and steering staying in one place in the space time continuem.
With flex- you get delay
In a situation where you make a sudden lane change- you feel how the car initially rolls one direction while the wheels are pointed the other, or on that long sweeper off camber freeway on-off ramp- you feel the car gets a little unstable or has delayed response and tire squeal to changes in your line thru the corner.
Installing the frame support bars eliminate that delay and give improved feel and feedback - without sacraficing ride quality or causing undue complaints from wife about ride
They really should be the first mod to the suspension- giving your high dollar coilovers and sticky tires a solid platform to do their job
next up: Sway bars and poly bushing for OE sway bars

Bump
Wifes current description of the Cusco bars from the passenger viewpoint-
No more boat rolling opposite direction feel when entering the freeway and flat when changing lanes and passing-
feels more stable over bumps and rough road patches
These were how much? really?? score !

Its a 10 minute install- less if you have ramps
2 bolts on the subframe go thru the new braces end bracket- tighten ~80 lbs
then hold the swivel adjuster bolt end with an allen wrench, 8mm I think it was
and a regular socket on the other end- tighten- check everything again
Go test by making fast precise lane changes and your favorite cloverleaf on ramp- see how you can move in and out and pick a line at any time- fun
I describe it as feeling flat and the car takes ~a set~ better into the corner
Interested members should PM me for inside info

Amazing how a few pieces of metal can so dramatically change the handling of our car!~
I just got the upper bar installed the other day and its really solid on the bumps and on corner turn in- its very precise and predictable, under 250 for the set is a score in performance value for dollars spent

Really enjoying the combo of upper and lower bars. My TL was so much tighter after just the lower bar, and now with some miles of having both- it was a great investment!!
Totally wife approved ride improvement on the passenger side, and quick lane change response and even quicker backroads fun for me, all from 2 pieces of metal~
The upper bar has blue mounts with a chrome bar- now I have to polish the intake manifold to match !

On my drop I have a 1 finger gap all around. I'm interested in the lower brace but I don't want to change the ride height. If I got the lower brace, would I be hitting the brace on speed bumps, even taking them slow?

Funny thing- my wife dragged the bar going nose first down the steep driveway in the street on stock 16s. I dont back the car into the garage anymore and solved that problem.
Now dropped and on 18s, taking speed bumps straight on would be foolish.
Though it no longer handles like a boat, drive it like one crossing a wave or wake, angles of attack will save your cat! If you drag the bar- you would have taken out the cat
I feel the lower bar was the best starting point for my suspension upgrades and was major improvement- noticed by wife on first freeway exit- the car was no longer getting leaned one way then the other. She approved more mods if they would do that

Your not going to hurt the bar with basic scrapes- totally cosmetic- repaint it someday with rustoleum.
that thing is strong, and bolted to the frame at a major point.

Its just 2 bolts to remove- install bar- insert bolts and tighten! 15 minutes max
Dont recall the exact torque spec, but they were TIGHT,
I used a long extension bar over the regular breaker bar to get them loose.

does anyone have a pic of thier lower brace installed on thier tl? this is like a xbrace correct? This has only a 2 point connection? not like a actuall x brace where there are 4 points where you screw bolts in?
also are pople noticing a big difference?

This is not an X. It is a straight brace, 2 bolts.
People are definitely noticing better chassis rigidity with both the Type-1 and OS braces.

I have both upper and lower bars on my 01TL
The lower one gives a noticable improvement and the upper adds to whats there from the factory- making it really strong. All this makes for flat cornering- reduced body roll etc
No issue with hood clearance-sits right next to OE bar
Will gets some pics- but all you can see under the car is a flatish bar running across the car where a frame rail crossmember would be on an old school car- right behind the engine
Totally worth the money- start with just lower if on a budget and you will quickly get the upgrade-mod bug
The lower bar was my first change to the car and my wife was very happy to sit on passenger side more stable entering freeway onramp-turns, now look at my sig,and thats not even giving away the secret mods to possible competitors

thanks for the response 01tl4tl, also does the lower bar come with instructions? and does all 4 wheels need to be parrallel to eachother? the reason i ask is cause when i go to install it i cant put my car on ramps cause of my front lip and im lowered and the front will not clear any ramps. i have to drive up on some homemade pieces of wood to get even clearance to get underneath my car, but even with that i have barely enought room to do my oil changes. sorry to all the tedious questions.

This is really not critical. The bars are made to be able to go on when the car is on the ground. Raising the wheels is more of an issue with adjustable bars, which these are not.
