I may do that too. I bought some rotors about 2 yrs ago and they make noise when I bear down. I dont really like that too much. It makes noise like the rotor is just rough from the grooves and as it spins it just hits the pad like normal. But I have had slotted and drilled rotors that do not make noise like that. So, there must be a difference in the manufacturing of them. I have no idea what it is, but when I go from 60+ miles per hour down to a stop it makes a noise like the pads are just not smooth. It does not jerk the car, it just sounds and feels like a ridge everytime the rotor spins... They dont make any noise when I am just drving along without my foot on the brake. OR if I brake normally, they are mostly ok. BUt coming off an exit ramp to a stop, I'll hear/feel it. Cheap rotors?

I just got mine installed and they look great. Question though, my mechanic after installing them said he put the brake pads on reverse meaning the outside pad was put on inner and inner to outer, he noticed this after looking at the metal clips. He told me this shouldnt be an issue other than one pad having alittle more thickness since it gets used mostly. What are your thoughts? Sould i take it back and have him reinstall it? Will the metal clip on the wring side cause issues?

Thanks

I'm interested in Rotors and Ceramic Pads F&R set
Will this fit in 04 TL AT ?
What is the likely fair labor cost for getting them install from a shop?
I'm located in SF bay area, anyone have any recommendation where i can get it install?
Thanks a lot guys

Really? not to be a dick, but if one set is for TL-S and MT, then intuitively, the other set would be for the only style left, 04-08 AT...

Never mind on that. Placed order through your customer service since I don't think I can receive PM's as a new member. Great price and good reviews throughout the forum!

No issue with customs and duties. Just pay and no surprises upon receiving. Had these for a bit over one year and happy. A lot better than OEM ones without worrying about warping discs.

Bought all 4 rotors and brake pads, slotted and drilled.
Love them so far, it does make a different noise other then stock. I read that its about the slotted and drilled rotors hitting the pad.

But when I dont press the brakes sometimes I can hear a weird noise like the brake pad is still hitting the rotor a little while driving. Any suggestions?
Thank you

I read that too, it's because of the slotted and drilled rotars but neveeeeeeeeeer sounded smart to me.

rockstar143 says put a beveled edge on the pads

I used the evolution brake pads that it came with in the front only, and kept the backs the OEM ones. Should I change the back ones also and see if that helps the problem? I hear it like in the video, when I pass walls on the highway.

I have the same noise at the front since the summer. I had no idea what it was
Told my dad and he said it's a sign to replace the pads.
Front's are concaved so when they become straight (thin), they start to make sound

Backs? No concaved needed if stock rotars are used (as I understood)

As seen in the video of J.
The ones come with the kit doesn't make that sound

So replace the stock ones with the new ones

IMO, the easiest, quickest way to buy them is go to their Ebay store...but its a tad more expensive (my rear rotors were $82 on ebay versus $78 on the link they sent me)

Ever since I have installed these brakes I get serious steering wheel shakes when I brake on the freeway. Does this mean the rotors are warped?

I have only had them on for about 6 months but the shaking occurred pretty soon after I had them installed.

Also my installer noticed that one of the rotors had a 1/4 inch chunk missing on one side of the rotors.

City braking is fine, but on the freeway is mostly when I get the shakes.

I should probably replace these right?

That's a very common noise of a warped rotor, I'm not saying yours are warped already but from my experience, drilled/slotted rotors are notorious for warping quickly. These rotors have been receiving good feedback so far, I'll think about giving them a shot.

Thanks for the quick response!
They took care of me, looks like they are sending me 4 new rotors, no brake pads (even though I have to pay $45 for shipping which is understandable).

Going to have the replacement rotors installed on Monday, hopefully it fixed the issue. Hopefully this works out.

Thanks again.

thanks alot brakemotive. very pleased with quality of rotors and pads. followed the bed in procedure and have no squeaks or noises of any kind surprisingly. quiet a bit if brake dust but is expected when new pads are installed. just hope the zinc coating holds up for awhile but it seems alot better than some have previously posted about, must be a newer batch cause my drilled and slotted configuration is alittle different of a layout than some I've seen from u guys. all in all a great product at a great price!!!!Name: 0ECAA3B6-C88D-445D-BD61-4E947069EE59-54992-00001637C2B41F7E_zpsfc7244b4.jpg
