i was wondering...can you play dvd's while driving? i heard in some kits equipped with the converter you can't play/watch dvd's when the car is in gear....

i see that it is recommeded to have this professionally installed. I have actually gone to a few shops, and was told that they dont install products that were not bought at their store. has anyone else come across this......i'm not mechanically inclined to even try this myself even with instructions. this is the one thing that is keeping me from buying up to this point.

Either you can use the harness and just plug it into the back of the head unit or you can splice the wires to get in..... I suggest using the harness!

You can install this yourself no problem if you are handy. The shops you went to want you to buy it from them so they can charge you an arm and leg for this mod. Save your money and DIY or find a shop the will install your own unit.

Hey Dom, I am definetly interested. I have one question that i was hoping you or someone could field on FM modulators. I bought a head unit that reads DVDs. I am planning on installing this in place of my factory head unit, right underneath the NAV. My question is what do i do about audio? I dont know how the FM modulators work, but i thought you have to have your radio tuned into a certain station to get the audio. I wouldn't be able to tune my radio at the same time my head unit is playing the DVD. What would I do for audio with the setup I am planning. If someone can help me with this and give me a solution I am in for PNP for my CL before the groupbuy ends. If anyone can field this or offer a suggestion/solution i'd appreciate it...thanks!!

How is everyone going about installing this- is everyone going to install this stuff on their own? I spoke with Dom and he said that he can sell the stuff to us in bulk but I we were to take it to him to get this set up installed it would be a pretty penny for labor. Does anyone know a place around NYC that moderately priced and will do good work? I am very interested but I dont want to even think about touching my cars electrical components.

honnestly i put this in my 2nd gen tl and it wasnt that hard ay all. you jus gotta get passed the fact ur cuttin ur navigation wires. once u get over ur fear its not that hard. directions are straight forward
