Where to get a dyno done in the Charlotte area?

I tried to find this in the search but I couldn't find the answer. I have some $ that I could waste and have a couple bolt ons done and I would be interested in knowing what I'm actually putting down. Does anyone know where I can get a dyno done? I know there is one in concord at 3SX but it is an all wheel drive dyno. I didn't know if that would be effective on our cars and I don't know if there is a dyno closer by? I live in Monroe.

Ok. Let's try this. I called 3sx and even though they have an AWD dyno they assured me that they get accurate numbers for FWD cars. They are located in concord and they charge $90 for three pulls. I don't know if they give discount rates for more than one car. Here is the website:
http://www.3sx.com/dyno/default.asp

I was planning on taking oct. 13th off from work to do it. Day after Columbus day. Would anyone else be interested in going?

I do have an appointment to get my car done at 1:00pm on oct. 13. If anyone else happens to have that day off you're more than welcome to join me.

I work that day but I could leave early, probably. I'm curious to see this. I'll keep you posted in this thread.

Ok. That's cool. I understand that most people will be working since it is right after a holiday. I had to ask for that day off specifically.

When you get a dyno do you turn the traction control off or do you leave it on?

They run the car, not you. Let them know where the TC/VSA switch is.

I know they run the car, but should the TCS be turned off? Does it make a difference? I should have phrased the question better.

Sorry, was not sure you got that.

I don't know, but what I mean to suggest is that they should know whether the dyno runs should be TC on or off.

My *guess* is is won't matter. They should not initiate excelleration fast enough to cause wheel spin. That is, they'll ramp up a few thousand rpm before going WOT.

also, best to do the runs in 3rd gear if you're auto and 4th if you're 6spd

When running down the strip you leave it off for faster times.I dont know for sure about the dyno but, I'd think you would leave it off.

On the strip you leave it off so that if you break traction, the car does not completely cut the throttle, then lag while you wait for it to allow throttle back in.

On the dyno traction loss should not be an issue.

However, some say that there is more power actually available with VSA off. Don't know if that is true or not.

Ok. I'll mention it to the guys there and see what they say about it.

Is there anything else I should do before the dyno? I just got some Mobil 1 to change my oil and I was thinking of seafoaming the engine. Anything else?
