Alright guys, SYLKIE, MIKE8898, and I met up today in the park and we scouted out some of the best spots...This particular park is huge...some 900 acres...We found some good spots in this park and then a few hundred feet up the road from the park is a desolate, dead end couldesac that has a very urbanized look to it...Many street signs and a lot of marks from prior burnouts and whatnot....Very cool for pictures..As well as a bunch of parking spots with a large field behind it.
Also, about a mile or so away from this is another park, way smaller though. However, there is a nice and scenic area with a dock and a lake behind...There are some "free" pavilions as well as a grill that we can use, however I think we voted to eat out? This park never has more than 3-4 cars in it, so its very quiet...
All in all, this should be a pretty damn good photo sesh, so I hope to see a bunch of you guys out there. We will decide an official meeting place and time in the next few days, and we will let you guys know...

well i dont get out of class untill 11:45 and im pretty sure silva-type s, quadb150, and trew won't leave me. So i know we wont make it up there till about 1230

i live right outside the park lol. doesn't matter. though taking pictures at midday suck. just bought a polarizer, lets see if i can figure how to use it properly by then.

Ahh, I see. Good stuff.
My neighbor is a professional camera man...He does the photo ads for Avis car rental and Bose and many more....I asked him if he had any tips for taking some good pics of cars and he said that he has never really done a outdoor vehicle shoot, but definitely time of day is going to make the biggest difference... According to him, sun-up or sun-down is the perfect time.

ok Im going to try and make it out there.. just need to make sure im off that day and know where im going to in palm beach. Haven't been over there since 1992.. So please keep me posted and I will do the same.. It will be a bit of a drive but im down for it

Basic Driving Directions
If you are coming from the North:
You can either take Turnpike, I-95, or 441 to Glades Road. You are going to take Glades Road west, a few miles past 441. You will pass a fire station on the right, and the entrance to the park is 200 feet up on the right.
*Be careful on Glades, there has been some speed traps lately*
If you are coming from the South:
If coming from Sawgrass, get off at 441 North. Take 441 to Palmetto Park Blvd(RD) and go 3-4 miles west (left) all the way until the dead end. Make a right at the dead end blinkers and drive 1/4 mile. You will pass West Boca High School on the left, the park entrance is 500 feet up on the left.
For those of you coming from I-95, get off at Palmetto Park Blvd(RD), and go ALL the way west until you reach the dead end. Maybe 8-9 miles...Turn right at the dead end blinkers and go about 1/4 mile, you will pass high school on left, park entrance is 500 feet up the road on the left.

Sweet...Thanks for the instructions man. I'll probably get up early and wash my car also. Maybe we can have some people meet earlier to do the shoots pre-midday sun. And then a second batch of people that will meet around 1pm. Then we can head out to lunch etc...
