Saturday March 2nd, 2013 - NC/SC Acurazine Meet

So after our last meet in December was a good success I wanted to follow up with a spring meet to get the year started off. We did the last one in Raleigh so this time we will be doing the meet in Charlotte.

Event: Acurazine NC/SC Meet at Charlotte Cars and Coffee
Date: Saturday March 2nd, 2013
Time: 8:00am
Location: Mattie's Diner - 915 Hamilton St, Charlotte, NC
Directions: Click Here
Map:
.........

Days Events:

Addresses and Current Proposed Schedule:

A. Mattie's Diner/Cars and Coffee 8:00-10:30AM
....915 Hamilton St
....Charlotte, NC 28206

B. UNCC North Deck 11:00AM-12:00NOON
....(Trying to locate an address for this still)

C. Boardwalk Billy's 12:15-1:45PM
....9005 J M Keynes Dr #2
....Charlotte, NC 28262

D. RK Motors 2:05-3:15PM
....5527 Lakeview Rd
....Charlotte, NC 28269

Edit: I have also added tentative time schedule next to each location trying to factor in travel time. If there is enough interest in making it an even fuller day I can see about possibly getting a group rate to hit up some indoor go karts at either Victory Lane near the 77/85 junction or The Pit in Mooresville.

Directions:
Here is a link to the directions for what I described above. It is a little further than I had originally thought according to Google Maps but I am not sure what other deck or location to hit up at this point.

***Link to Current Directions Route***

Note: There may be a couple places where there are shorter routes available that if you know them feel free to take them. I chose routes that do not contain possible road hazards for low cars.

So I used NC Music Factory as the location to start the directions because it made the route take 277 -> 77 -> 85. If you want the best actual address if you are using GPS instead then use the addresses listed above.

Really wish their were more Charlottle Azine guys wanting to

Race their cars.
Fill their fenders full of rubber.
Not scared to break parts and get towed home.

Instead of
coffee
lunch
some nice pics
looking at some more cars
and go karting

Although It's cool , I GUESS...
but, everytime it's basically the same shit . I would think it would get old after awhile .
It get's old everytime I check to see what's going on local and it's the same thing.

Where's my fat ass going to eat
and where's the picture spot.and that's it.

Come on guys maybe one day you guys can get something together when we whip the cars we created instead of the same old thing.

^ You should search more: https://acurazine.com/forums/southeast-318/track-day-interest-thread-somewhere-between-charlotte-atlanta-878835/

Plus meet ups like this generally get much better attendance. Easy to do, get to meet a bunch of people, see some great rides, and just hang out. Not much of a time commitment and little dollar commitment. Easy Peasy.

I hope so. I should be pretty available until April/May... at which point I'll be racing at both tracks, which means two weekends a month racing. So that will cut into the free time a bit.

Worse case you guys head over to the Mooresville track this spring/summer and watch me get my ass kicked

Been hiding doing the family thing.
The last couple months I've been stripping parts and getting away on sundays messing around at my local 1/8 track.
My quickest et has been 8.53 but, I've lost 70+ lbs since and added more parts like inovative 75a mounts, swain tech coated headers,And wrapped the underside of my manifold and my 4" intake with the gold dei heat reflective tape. So I am thinking I should be somewhere around low 8.4 high 8.3 in the 1/8.
The last time I went I had tps and throttle stop issues but, those are now fixxed and this sunday will be my next day to try for the quicker et.

Awesome I will definitely come out and watch you race when in Mooresville. Just let me know when the race days are.

That sounds awesome. If I was good at launching my car I would consider going to the track. I am terrible at getting going still though.

This diner place next to the music factory, is it going to be enough room for all of us to eat and chill out for a minute. Place seems kinda small ?

We are not going to eat there that is just the address I used to let people know where Cars and Coffee is located. I am looking into some places around Charlotte for us to eat at. I have a couple in mind that are south of C&C but might look north instead since RK Motors is north of the C&C meet.

Seriously I picked the date around your schedule and now you tell me you can't come.

How are we going to have a meet now? Oh wait it is just Tyler, the meet will go on just fine.

It has been a long time already between meets that I got roasted for not putting on in the first place which was also ridiculous. Now you two smucks can't come and want a rain date.

I got the car a little bit quicker.
8.32 in the 1/8 with a 1.99 60ft.
To bad you don't run your isf. I want to run a little something nicer that on paper should smoke me ,considering my car is a base model cl.
Don't isf's run like 8.5-8.6 stock in the 1/8 ?

Not sure what the ISF run in the 1/8. I know in the 1/4 guys are running 11s and one guy with I/H/E and nitrous broke into the high 10s the other day.
