Hey All, Happy Monday.
Ok, some logistical questions about my work wheels.
So, this weekend I put the +35 offset wheels up front and the +45 on the back. Looks great, sits pretty flush up front now.
So now, I need:
Spacers for the rear, I'm thinking of rolling the fender and going with a 20MM spacer for the wheel to sit flush.
I'm looking for fender rollers in Broward.
And more importantly, is there something I can put on the rims to protect them from rock chips?
I might be crazy but since the fronts are now sitting further out and my rims are painted gloss black, they seem to be getting chips. I'm going to touch up the chips today and maybe throw on a coat of wax and see if that helps. Just wondering if they sell a product to protect rims.

You may want to roll your front fenders, too. I have +35 all around and my tires were getting shredded up there. I'm getting mine rolled this Thursday to make room for +32 wheels later.
I'm not sure about the rim protection as that'll be pretty hard to guard against curb rash and what nots.

No sir, it's not curb rash, it's rock chips from the highway, like little specs of paint chipped off. I'll try doing a wax on the faces and see what happens. Maybe that'll keep the rocks bouncing off. If not, I'll end up putting the +45s back on the front and 35's rear since then the car is catching the rocks and not the rims.

As far as rocks bouncing off, I dunno if wax is going to do the trick though.

Hmmmm...I'm VERY inclined to just put the +45's back up front. I'm all for the flush look, but not at the cost of having paint chips on the wheels. That's just annoying.

Most def...But, keep them on there for the meet, which is in 2 weeks...Keep your eyes open, I'm making a thread now with details.

Thanks man...
Actually, in the time since my last post I:
Rotated the fronts back to the back since the back looked ridiculously "unflush". Cleaned and waxed the wheels and put some touch up paint on the nicks. Good thing about black finish is you can hide them easily.
Ready for the meet. Just tell me when!

I'm guessing it'll be at the meet, someone may have a roller. Honestly, if that's the case...A) THANK YOU B) I'd probably do it regardless in case I do spacers afterward.

I'm going to let a shop do mine since I didn't want to get a roller to do it myself. Going to get it done at Wagen Werks across the street from Andretti's this Thurs.Originally Posted by phee
