Ha ha ha...too bad you're not close. Your sarcasm would have been appreciated at our mega mini tiny meet.

Sarcasm? More like inside joke . If I was closer, I would've been there. Tyler is good people, and M is cool, too. It's always a good time when they come down to the meets we have here.

Yeah Jack is always the one who talks shit to me at the meets

Mitzi is a trooper. She goes to just about all of the meets with me. It almost makes up for all of the lame shopping trips she takes me on

You got an early start! Glad you got home safely bud.

Tried cutting open my old set of red tails...you were NOT lying...since it's not intended to be opened, it is a HUGE PITA the get everything and make it look nice and the friggin chrome stuff comes off etc...I did SOMETHING to one of mine, but just for testing. I may scrap the whole plan...I already have the type's and ghost tails if I really wanted to slap em back on...

^Cutting them open gets easier as you do more. After doing the first set, cutting open the Type S lights was easy. It's a fun project.

Honestly...the trunk portion and how/where to cut is what has me fkin befuddled...I did it one way the first time and it didn't want to pop open, did it the other way and ended up cutting into the back portion of the bezel. Which I didn't like either. Maybe I should just stop being a pu**y and just go for it.

There are two ways to cut the trunk portion...one leaves a cut line visible when the trunk is open (how most seem to be done), the other (how I did it) doesn't. I used a two inch cutting disk on my drill for that part, a Dremel for the rest of the light. It makes getting the inside parts out a little harder, but it gives a clean look when finished. I made this a while back for someone else...maybe it'll help.

Sorry, man...that's why I made a thread on it, in hopes that the locals would see it!

Chill, thank you very much, yes, this is helpful. I have never been so "iffy" on a mod...I swear.
