Any car meet this month?

 

I haven't heard of any down my way in Altus. I am up for a drive though as soon as I get my RL back from the body shop. Had a little hail damage that I am getting fixed right now. Going through Acura withdrawals driving a damn Camry rental car.

 

Doesn't look like there is a lot of action going on in the OK forum. Looks like I might just have to start making some drives down to the DFW area for meets.

On a side note. Does anyone know of any good exhaust shops in the OKC or Southern OK area?

 

Honda fetish car show coming up June 23 2013 in Texas,anyone going?

 

I am planning on it right now as long as nothing comes up at work. Would like to see some more action out of the Oklahoma forum. Looks like we might be the only two making posts at the moment. Would be nice to get a crew to ride down there.

Sounds good. Will see you down there. I am going to try to get some of the guys from the base here to head down with me also. Just not a big Honda or Acura scene that I have seen here, so it is a little tough.

 

Does anyone know of any places in OKC, Lawton or the nearby area that sells decent wheel spacers? I ordered a new set of wheels for my RL and I am a little concerned about the front wheels clearing my front calipers. I would prefer to be able to test fit the wheels and then go buy some spacers right away instead of having to wait for some in the mail if they are needed. Thanks.

 

I ordered a set of Ichiba from online for my TL. (as soon as I remember the site I used, ill post it) and they have worked out very good. Amazon has the sets, but I did a lil searching around to find a decent price.

 

Yea, I think the Ichiba are the best ones that I have seen so far. Thanks. On a side note, do you know of any meets or anything that happen in Lawton on a somewhat regular basis? Not a lot going on here in Altus from what I have seen so far and I am over that way quite often on the weekends if I am not in OKC or DFW.

 

normally the car shows here in Lawton are a mix of everything, but mostly american muscle. not really any good import shows here, but evey so often there the better ones are in Norman or in OKC.

 

That's what I figured. Most of the time I head out to OKC and DFW for shows and meets. I am surprised there isn't a bigger scene with the base here in Altus and the Army Post over there in Lawton. Usually where there is military, there is usually a pretty good car scene.

 

Yea, I think it's really weird that more military aren't really into the import scene. Seems like the military here wants to chrome out a charger, change the paint and throw rims on the car. As for the imports, it's mostly teenagers and school age kids I've seen w/ the most modified cars. I'm looking for a Integ Type R for a project car..... something to keep me busy in the meantime in between time.

I will be going to the Coffee and Cars meet in OKC on Sunday morning, but I will be passing back through Lawton around lunch time on my way back to Altus.

 

Yea, I guess I got used to living overseas and obviously the scene is pretty big over there. I had been overseas since 04 before moving to OK in March. I am sure a Type R Teg would definitely be a fun project. My project right now is a 1970 Roadrunner with a 440 as well as my RL, but my RL is a DD. I just need to finish up my Roadrunner and sell it, so I can free up some money to put into my RL and start a new project.

 

Oops, I meant Saturday. I am free on Sunday.

I will be down there at about 7:45am. The parking spots fill up pretty quick or at least they did last time, so I was going to get there a little early. It starts at 8:00am. Yea, I think I remember seeing your car down at the Honda Fetish Show. I will be there Saturday with my silver 05 RL. Still waiting on my rims to get in.

From what I heard yesterday at the Coffee and Cars in OKC from a few people there is some meet or something at the Carmike in Lawton this afternoon. Will try to find out some more details and a time this morning.

 

Looks like 4:30 at the Carmike. Small meet and cruise from what I hear.

 

How was the cruise n car meet in Lawton?

 

did'nt even get to go....... not many ppl in town knew about it.

 

It was a small meet. Maybe 12-15 cars. I didn't get a chance to go on the cruise part with them. I had some stuff to take care of at home. I don't think very many people knew about it. I heard about it from one of my Mazda friends.

I've got some stuff for sale, but specifically one thing that is for the '04-'08 TL (might fit TSX/RL, etc...if you want to check it out to see then let me know and we can see!). I've got a false floor built to hold 3 amps or 2 amps and a processor..plus distribution blocks, etc etc as you can see in the pic's I've linked. Obviously I have no use for this now that I've sold the car, so if you're into audio or want a nice false floor for anything...here it is!

I am waiting on a custom set of 19" XXR 530 in the chromium black. Taking a little long because the 19's haven't come out yet and I wanted it to be just my bolt pattern and not the typical ones with the extra holes that are used for multiple bolt patterns. Hoping they are released any day now. Just trying to save a little money on wheels and spend that elsewhere in the car.
