I don't think anybody here has used a shop for suspension mods. In fact, I don't think anyone here has had anything done at a shop, save ACCURATEin's SC setup. Somebody might be able to recommend a shop based on knowing someone who works there, but not based off of work they had done on their TL (that I can think of) .

Even if I'm wrong, I say buy the parts from one of our vendors and DIY .

Most of us didn't know what we were doing the first time out, either. We learned as we went using the info on the forum and with the helpful advice of people who did know.

Anyway, here's some 100% second-hand info (I can't vouch for any of it personally): Hondaworks and Speedstyles.

Speedstyles would be the place to go if you can't get it done yourself.

They have been installing suspesion systems on Hondas, Acura, and others for many years now. Matt is the installer up there. Call and talk to Marcus, he can help you out. Tell him Trevor sent you if you would like.

What chill_dog said.

DIY. If you don't know how, you found the right site - expert help, Service Manual scans, DIY write-up's, etc.

HondaWorks quoted me $240 last year to install springs. I think they opened a new store front on the Park Road extension near Carolina Place Mall.

I ended up DIY-ing the springs. And RSB and Brakes and CAI and Pulley and everything else.

Bearcat94 - I can't make the meet this weekend. How often do you guys meet?

jsacuratls - Thanks, I just may take you up on that. I got your number so I'll give you a ring when I order the parts. Still need to figure out exactly what to get. Feel free to add suggestions

How much do you want to spend and do you want to be able to adjust the height and ride quality settings?

I'd like to have adjustable settings but not a must. I really don't know much about suspension mods. I just want to drop my car 1.5" or so and not have any issues and a decent ride. I'd like to spend around $1k. not set in stone though. If it costs more then so-be-it.

For $1K you might be able to pick up a used Tein SS system on here. Your going to want the EDFC control module too which allows ride adjustibility from inside the car.

Otherwise you could probably do what others have and buy a shock/spring combo.

You could go with a $1000+ coil over set up like TrevorT suggest. But your only going 1 1/2" drop and sounds like your not building a track car.Dont waste your dough. For a 1000 or a little more you can probally get your whole suspension done.springs, struts, sways, and front adjustable ball joints.AKA(camber kit). Just need to shop around. Then installing, any shop is capable. All parts are easy to install, even first time guys can handle it.The only thing you probally cant do youself is the alinment.check in to some posts.I've done all my own stuff.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3152723
