Well, it's a new year... so time for a new thread. If 2011 is anything like 2010, should be a great year for C&C here in Charlotte!!

February is confirmed. Looks like the temps will not be bad, but right now looks like rain may be in the AM forecast. We'll see...

If the weather holds out I'll probably go. No soccer this weekend, so I'm free. Plus, we'll probably be moving the weekend of the March event, so need to take advantage of this Saturday.

Official Update:

Charlotte Cars and Coffee at the Lake
Exotics/Sports Cars/Classics/Bikes/4x4

Saturday February 5th, 2011
8 am - until

North Lake Mall (I-77 Ext 18)
Panera Bread Co. (Between Panera and Fox and Hound)
6801 North Lake Mall Drive- Charlotte NC 28216
704.921.0013

Note from the C&C website:

Looks as if the weather got the best of us in January. I know there were a lot of disappointed individuals that did not get to show off what Santa brought them. I have heard from lots of you that received new toys and new trinkets for existing rides. Can't wait to see them! Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and push that snow towards the Northeast, they could use some more!

I think that many are missing our meet after two missed months so hope to see you this Saturday!

They have not posted an official March update yet, however, this Saturday is the first Sat of the month, so I'm guessing it should be any day now. Once they update for March I'll post here

Not sure what's gonna happen. Last night they said rain in the PM. Then this morning they said the cold front is moving faster then they thought... so it may be early afternoon. We'll see!

Yeah, but I'll probably skip that one since I'll have an indoor game on Monday as well. So I can miss Sat if I'm playing again Monday.

There were some cool cars there for sure. However I took like zero pictures. It would mist/drizzle for like 15min and then stop for 15min and I would get the camera out. 5min later it would start again so I would put it away. I think if I have 10-15pics that might be it. I know for a fact I was eating breakfast and it was mist/drizzle during the time some of the best cars were there.

I applauded that guy in the Black 430 though. Brought it out in the rain, parked it in the mall parking lot after like it was no big deal...

Too many Ferrari owners that don't actually DRIVE their cars.

That guy didn't care where he drove it. He seemed so excited to finally have it as I heard he didn't get it that long ago and it was his first.

The turnout was absolutely rediculous actually. It was packed. Probably from around 9-9:30 there wasn't a parking space to be had in either of the two lots. People were parking around the curbs as well and those were full.

However I have to say the content wasn't as good as normal. There really wasn't many exotics at this one. A large portion was the new Camero guys. Seemed to be an over abundance of Corvettes at this one as well so maybe there was an organized Corvette get together. I had never seen so many Corvettes at Car and Coffee before.

There were two Porsche GT3. Two different model years both white. I very nicely done BMW X5. Only two older Ferrari. A Tesla roadster, couple of Lotus Elise, average turnout of older muscle cars. Also there were lots of the Hyundai Genesis.

One thing I did like seeing in person just cause I haven't gotten a chance to see one up close was the CTS-V Wagon which looks much smaller than I thought it would and definitely is something I would consider owning. However on a daily basis you don't actually have much more room than in the sedan.

Pictures to come later. Didn't take that many as I didn't arrive till like 8:45 when I normally get there at 8 and then by the time I did a quick walk around, grabbed some breakfast, and came back to take pics a few things had already left. Overall though was another great event.

Pshhh...you forgot to mention I was there

I keed. Pretty much what he said. When I first pulled up I was really excited, but after walking around a bit I was a little let down.

Overall good turnout though. It'll be interesting to see how the increased popularity is dealt with as we get further into summer.

Sorry... little late on this one! As the warmer months approach, hopefully the exotics start showing themselves. May through September is usually pretty awesome!!

Anyway, official update below... and it looks good for this weekend!

** Official Update: **

Charlotte Cars and Coffee at the Lake
Exotics/Sports Cars/Classics/Bikes/4x4

Saturday May 7, 2011
8 am - until

North Lake Mall (I-77 Ext 18)
Panera Bread Co. (Between Panera and Fox and Hound)
6801 North Lake Mall Drive- Charlotte NC 28216
704.921.0013

Hopefully the spring pollen has subsided and all of us with dark cars can uncover and come out to play! Sorry for the late post but May's 1st Saturday is tucked in a bit. Saturday's weather promises to be bright and sunny to usher in the new month. Looking forward to seeing a parking lot full. I have gotten messages from a quite a few that promise to bring out some iron that is new and exciting. Spring time tends to make many of us catch 'new car fever' along with coaxing others into upgrades and new additions to existing rides. Come out and show off the new toys!

The 1st Saturday of June is here. Hope you all can come out and start the summer off right with one of our favorite past times! The summer is perfect to get those convertibles out, targas off and windows down on your rides. Looking forward to seeing a parking lot full. I have gotten messages from a quite a few that promise to bring out some iron that is new and exciting.
