Quite a few people have been wanting to create a meet for all Florida members. I think somewhere in central Florida will work best because it will be and equal distance for north Florida members and south Florida members. We usually do are jacksonville meets on Sundays to get a bigger turnout. Any suggestions are welcomed as well as places to meet. Central Florida members will need to help out in this area because many of us do not know the area. Once we agree upon a time, place, and date I will create a new thread with all the information and we can make a list of who is planning on attending

Cars and coffee in Sanford was always nice. I wondered what happened to that.

 

Don't know what your talking about the spell check in my phone does more harm then it does good. I'm not sure what meets are in central Florida other than the v2lab meet. I'll try to see what is coming up this weekend

 

id say do something in the lines of a weekend thing, where as members with wives and kids can do things, so they don't feel left out. Worse come to worse people can go to disney world.

 

THey moved it to Mech-Tech Institute in Orlando a while ago. But I don't think they still doing it.

The last all Florida meet was in Altamonte springs. I think we had about 60 cars. It was some years ago.

no way. Speaking from how Cali did their All Cali meet. it took months of planning. you need at least 3 months in advance.

 

Not to mention everyone's going to have spring break plans.
I say early May before summer (there's so much sweat in my butt crack) heat and humidity kick in.

Well to be easily accessible to many it probably should be near I-4. Someone menitoned a meet done before in Altamonte Springs here in Orlando. That would be near I-4 although i wouldnt know exactly where in Altamonte is a good meet spot. I believe they did it on a multilevel garage but i have no idea which one.

Tampa has plenty of members and areas with nice views and pretty easy to get to. Maybe we could do it over there. The Tampa guys would need to chime in on where though.

Sounds like a good event, however, I will be traveling to St. Louis that weekend - through the 14th...so I won't be able to make that one..

 

I like the idea of someone hosting an event, like Titan Motorsports, but I always found it to be more fun and engaging if it was only Acrurazine members and friends to have a meet.

Last time we had an Acurazine meet in a small park in Altamonte area it is was a pretty good turnout:

 

I won't be able to make that one and the short notice would make it more difficult to get a big turnout.

 

My suggestion is that if you guys want to do that meet at Titan Motorsports then please open a new thread to start that. This thread should be planned for a mega meet that will take more time. Also if Stephen should change the title to All-Florida Meet planning. I can't on my level.

Not very active on here but this needs to be an acura zine only meet. For all acuras only. We need at least a month to get the word out. I can arrange a place and time and have this done.

 

How about Crane's Roost Park is in Altamonte Springs?.....scenery is nice...seems like there is plenty of parking around there.





Near Millenia Mall there is a pretty big shopping complex with tons of parking.





Of course we could try to get in contact with Mech-Tech (the place Orlando Cars and Coffee used to be held at). I would imagine they would be receptive to us using their parking lot (hell they might even be interested in handing out their flyers to their mechanical school.) BUT as Old Hatch mentioned you might see a pimp or ho out for a morning stroll but as long as none of us are buying i'm pretty sure they'll keep walking.






Lastly further down the street there is another mechanics school and they might be receptive to us meeting there as well. I've been to a big car show there before...plenty of space.

 

That's all it takes is a few contacts. The Plaza across Melinia mall is a no go. Too much shoppers and tourist. Use to work there.

As fr as date goes I say the last possible dates to be chosen is firt or second week of May. After that it starts getting really humid and everyones out for memorial day doing stuff at the end of the month. March is spring break for everyone so im pretty sure that will be way to early.
