Well, depending on what day and time (time is VERY important...early sucks...people like sleeping in on Saturdays
), I'm sure I can swing an hour and a half drive...Alex will come, he likes driving. Get a date and time and I'll put something in the Charlotte thread about it and see if I can get some others to caravan down with us.

They used to have a nascar track in columbia back in the 60s /70s. It is an paved oval track, but they use it occasionally for people on bicycles![Yuck](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/yuck.gif)
It was home to one of the 1st nighttime nascar races. Someone should get some money up and restore the track.

I went to the red line time attack practice run session today... I have pics! It looks like AMS is going to take it their evo 10 ran a lap of 1 minute 34 seconds for that track. The only acura representing was the nsx. Lots of skylines showed up. It looked like a skyline mini meet.

hey guys, nothing concrete yet, but im shooting for fall break, I believe thats first weekend in October? I'm not particularly sure.
Planning a meet in October gives everyone plenty of time to figure out schedules and whatnot.
I'll be putting together a meet thread soon, keep checking in here!
Oh, and it'll be in Columbia by the way...nice place + central to everyone

As long as it doesn't fall on the Tail of the Dragon Weekend...
Charleston is a nice place to have a meet too, lots of nice areas to take pics... although pretty crowded.

Oh, I'll definitely be there, regardless of location, although a Charleston meet
. I haven't been down there in a few years...it's such a wonderful place...soooooooooooo much fun to be had there. I'd probably take a day off work and make a long weekend out of it. Somebody needs to find me a job in Charleston...

Ok people, what's the status of this? Let's get it going! This is much easier to plan than a mega meet or a TOTD meet. SC isn't that big, so any location is close. Columbia's central and Charleston has everything then some. Don't tell me a NC resident has to plan the SC meet
.

The last meet I attended in Cola, was at the Village at Sandhills. A good bit of parking, but security ran us off after 30 mins of hanging out in the parking lot. Just a suggestion though.

Why would we want to go somewhere where our business isn't respected and appreciated? People always spend money at meets, be it lunch, dinner, drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), whatever, at nearby places. If we were making a bunch of noise, bothering other people, racing, etc., I could see it, but we don't.

Ok guys here it is,
SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD.
COLUMBIA
exact location in columbia to be discussed, I have a parking garage in my complex which would be ideal, or other places like the Vista, etc...I will announce the exact location in a week or two after I check with some places.
BE THERE.

Sweet. It's also good because my weekend filled up, so I wouldn't have been able to do it this weekend. I don't even know how I'm going to do everything I'm supposed to be doing. Best part is, very little of it's work
.
Sean, care to explain how your screen name is a tag for this thread?
