Shring- sell everything and return car to stock. I know you never saw my TL but I had a 10k audio system, supercharger, custom center dash, 20" volks and big brake kit... sold it to several atl zine members... For a total 6-7k (could have gotten a lot more but gave the friend discount) then sold the stock TL for 15.5k. It was 3k more than if I left as is.

Matt - you're dumping the TL-S for a Scion?! I'm just teasing . . . I just wish it would've looked more like the concept FT-86 instead. I second what Joe said . . . putting things back to stock would net you more $$$ than to leave your system in there. You could sell the aftermarket audio system for a lot more than if you were to include it in the car.

Jimmy - I'm glad it was an easy fix once you had gotten the right code reader to tell you why you kept getting a CEL. I hate that feeling and you come up empty when you retrace your steps.

If I yanked the stereo components out, I'll just put them into the BRZ...when I get it.

I dunno...I just never really felt...awesome about the TL. It's a great car, but at the same time, isn't quite what I wanted. If I don't get the BRZ, then I'll get another WRX.

Edit: Hoping to be back in GA July-ish. TL is long gone but it would be good to catch up with the ATL crew again!

Took a lot of fender work and negative camber in order to get these looking right!!

AT- My friend is a tech at Nalley Infiniti in Marietta. He does all my wheel/tire mounting, alignments, and all miscellaneous work. I also have a tire guy that I can get low profile 19s or 20s for $100 a piece so just let me know. They are not name brand but if you run as much camber as I do it doesnt matter LOL. You have my number so just give me a call. I'm currently running 225/35/19 Pirelli P-Zero run flats on the front and 245/35/19 Continental Conti-Sport Contacts on the rear

Why can't you do 20s, At? I don't like wheels bigger than 19s because it gives less of a sidewall protection.

I was lowered a little with my TL and bought a second car because it was hard driving it everyday. Haha....yea, its more than an obsession, it's definitely a lifestyle!


I will be attending a military school for promotion and its from early July to mid to late August. I am going to try to add about 30 days of vacation after I graduate, so hopefully until mid/end september.

Man I was on Ebay looking at TL's yesterday. I can't wait to get back to the states so I can finally start modding again. I will be back in July and if you still have your TL-S, I will definitely be in the market for another car....lol. Wasn't yours a 6MT also?

Oh yeah - taken care of. Hit a 2-day old Benz SUV at a red light. Was a blessing actually - the tranny was acting up a little again. Was able to buy a 4Runner with half the miles. Still no car payment bitch3s!

I understand. I wasn't too serious about letting my TL go, but I let it go sooner than I anticipated. If a good deal arises, I'd take it, but dont regret it like me....lol.

Haha....definitely not a permanent move, although I wish! It's actually a school for selection to E-7. Im hoping to get promoted around March but if not this course teaches us what is expected at the E-7 level. Unfortunately, I may probably be back at El Paso, TX. I'm working on that though...

Well, I hope you get to make it back here after your schooling is over with. I'm sure El Paso isn't quite as good as it is here in Jawja lol.

I'm loving and hating it at the same time lol. Loving the power and amenities and hating the fact that I don't have the funds to mod it yet. It also needs some overhaul on the exterior and interior due to a few knicks and scratches here and there.

I was only in El Paso for about a month before I deployed so I can't make a real judgement on the city, but GA is like home to me. You dont have to do crazy mods to your TL-S right away. Modding the headlights are an easy and very inexpensive mod to do. We modded my buddy's 06 Civic headlights for literally nothing. Took only a couple hours to complete.

what did you do to your headlights? All I did was a vinyl overlay to protect the plastic.

TRS has a set of clear ZKW-R lens for pretty cheap. They're local to Atlanta now too, which is a bonus.

I never had a chance to mod mine. I bought 2 rolls of the nissan headlight sealant and a set of ZKW-R from another member but sold it all before I let my TL go. Blacked out another members 05 TL's headlights and cleared out my buddy's 06 Civic headlights. Damn I had no idea TRS was in ATL. Here's a few pics of theirs.....

I know Joe, I wish I could have gone to that meet but I was stuck in the shop working on my fenders and tearing out inner liners and sh!t to fit my new wheels!! LOL
