im sorry to hear that. Id have a shop look at it to make sure its only cosmetic. My little front end damage totalled $1701 and thats without the wrap. Hows the air ride doing? I have to get a shallow oil pan fabbed up this week, mines cracked. motor trenz in matthews was recommended so gonna check it out on monday. everytime i think about you car and see these rides tucking at shows makes me want to get bags.

Went and looked at the RCs in person and DAMN. That car is amazing from every angle. They have a white, blue, and silver one at the one on independence.

I would go there, buttttttt its my past employer so I dont know how they would feel.
I know there are plenty of other cars out there that would be way better suited than than the TLX.
I'm saying this based on what read and watched; but if I had to choose a daily driver, no modifying (lol), the TLX wouldn't be a bad starting spot. Reliable, well made manufacturing, past experience so far with the TL. It wouldn't be a terrible investment. Would I buy a 2015? No. I would hope for some mid- generation improvements.
On a side note, headlights turned out great, aside from the fact they didnt seal 100%. So now I am gonna re-do them at some point.... and my passenger ballast went out.

Porsche 911 Targa, Ferrari F12, Lamborghini Aventador, Koenigsegg Agera R, McLaren P1. Maybe drop the F12 for something more practical like a Porsche Panamera Turbo S or save the atmosphere with a Tesla Model S. Many options.

Yeah he was approached in the parking lot when he was sitting in his suv. He went haywire and started hitting cars in the parking lot..flipped the suv...got out and stole someones bmw that was watching...went down the road and hit moar cars and wrecked...started running and got caught. He was a known meth trafficker.
He's not getting out for a while, especially with assaulting an officer and assault with intent to kill or cause serious injury - on top of the meth trafficking charge.
With that big of a blow up, they'll probably consider him a flight risk and won't release him, if he even had the money to cover bond.

I think he was buying a smart ass and just using the $40k+ figure to go off of, with an emphasis on the +.
Here's a list of cars I'd seriously consider before even thinking about a TLX. A TLX is $46,685 optioned almost how I'd get it - some key features are available in the other cars that are unavailable on the TLX (heated rear seats, HUD, etc). All prices in parenthesis are with the options I'd chose. I capped the prices at no more than $56k MSRP. These cars are all over the spectrum; some are sports sedans, some are hybrids, and there's even a diesel in there for good measure.
-Hyundai Genesis 5.0 ($55,700)
-BMW 328d ($53,755)
-Infiniti Q50S Hybrid ($50,390)
-Infiniti Q50S ($49,290)
-Lexus IS350 AWD w/ F Sport Package ($49,774)
-Volvo S60 T6 Drive-E ($47,520)
-Lexus ES300h ($47,220)
-Audi A4 Presite 6MT ($47,200)
-Cadillac ATS 3.6 ($45,980)
-Honda Accord Hybrid Touring ($37,571)

-VW CC 2.0T R-Line (starts at $33k, they got rid of the build function and it's stupid)
Those are just the brand new cars. Used would be:
-CTS-V Wagon

Those are all cars that be purchased for under $50k.
Of those cars, if I had to buy new, I'd have a very hard time passing up the Accord Touring. It's arguably better looking, lighter on its feet, faster, gets similar gas mileage, and runs on regular vs premium on the TLX. The visibility of the Accord is much better, doesn't have the ridiculous spider-eye headlights yet still has LED projectors, and costs $10k less. Most importantly, the cheap materials on the TLX steering wheel are right at home in the Accord.

Indeed.
$40k-ish would get me an Audi Allroad. It's not fast but it's a wagon and I hardly ever see one. Plus an Allroad on bags is teh sex.
Maybe not the best pick for mechanical longevity, but it's what I would go for. I like the TLX but not enough to buy it.
whats messed up is if you look at that guys arrest record he has multiple felony charges and cases that he only gets locked up for a month or so max each time, the judicial system is a joke, esp with the whole house arrest ankle monitors that repeatedly get cut off now days. i listen to talk radio in the work van, its funny when they tell the news about the latest guy cutting off his bracelet and is on the run, in the background they always play "somewhere out there"
i got the oil pan off today, as some of yall know, it got cracked. im taking the new one to Mikro Systems in indian trail tomorrow to get it shortened (cut off bottom, weld in new bottom plate and relocate oil drain). the oil pickup tube literally sits on the bottom of the pan so i took that off too and gonna have him shorten that as well. to buy a new metric tap for drain plug and modifying the pan he said would be less than $200 which i think was extremely fair.
