AYE, i've been dreaming of revs to 9k for years now and i finally decided to do it. but i wouldn't dare part with the tsx until i finished it. complete with custom parts and special one-off products ... the likes of which i'm not permitted to talk about (seriously).

somebody find me a buyer and find me a new roadster

 

i'm set to do a full-on photoshoot on thurs march 5 and those will likely be the last pics of the tsx with my name on the title

Vinny, didn't anyone tell you, the more modding you do, the less money you will get back? Stop modding her if you are selling it. Move on to the Honda and start up with that. You will find out, taking the parts off the car and selling them will get you more money than selling the car complete. Good luck but plase stop modding a car you are selling. You are throwing money out the door son.

You just got the car the way you want it and now you want to dump it? Bad timing.

all very good points jon. really, i can't argue them. but the tsx build was personal ... after going thru all this bs with the car in and out of the shop for months and bringing it to the state it's in today is simply remarkable. i'm proud of her and my modding on it is officially over.

i've been obsessed with completing the project as i set out to do from day one. now that it's done, despite money i'll be losing, i'm quite pleased with the results.

and believe me, I'LL DO MY BEST TO GET UP TO CHARLOTTE

6speed is just like riding a bike. The only thing you'll need to build up is confidence again. Your body remembers how to do it.

 

I have a feeling your tsx looks pretty darn good seeing that you've got the kit and the paint matched grille.

I, and i'm sure others, are looking forward to seeing it.

 

i learned to drive manny trannys on a beat up 89 mustang ftl. fast-forward a decade until i drove another: cts-v, vette, and viper all while at the caddy dealership when i was in sales there. yes, i f*cked up all the clutches (no joke, i told them not to let me drive em)

I'll offer some suggestions.

'Everything' would include making the drive up to Charlotte. It would show her you want to put forth the effort. If you get up here and it still doesn't work out, then you'll know for sure it's not.

Another interweb tool that i just recently discovered. Free video chat compliments of www.skype.com If you're unfamiliar with it, I can see it making distant relationships not as harsh. Look into it if you haven't already.

Vinny - I saw your title the other day, thought it was a joke...guess not. Good luck with the sale. And for any of the doubters, he really does own a TSX, although I wasn't too sure until he showed up at my house with it one day . And just like DerwoodEE, you NEED to come.

DerwoodEE, are you working on Saturday? I would hope you could hang for lunch and then after at our meet. It would be great if you could meet up at cars and coffee in the morning but understand as it is a long day.

But no, I don't work weekends. My wife and I have a newborn and I don't want to force her to take care of him all day long alone. But she's got no problem with me going out for the afternoon and possibly evening. The cars and coffee meet is actually closer for me than Ballantyne is (I live in Concord), but I just can't make it that early. I should be able to meet you guys for lunch though and then afterwards at the parking ramp.

 

I want it to be between 5-7, that way i have time to get there and i can go to the party, too. Why can't we all just cater to me, gosh why must things be so difficult?! hahaha, yah, im totally not that bitchy hahaha

 

 

Yep, you're all woman...just kidding . I'm sure some people will still be around later in the afternoon. With it being an all day affair, people will probably be coming and going to different parts of it as best fits their schedules. Just get here when you get here and see what's going on. You're like me in this regard, ultimately, you'll get what you want, no matter what. I'm sure the overwhelming response to me when I get rid of the TL, especially considering what I get rid of it for, will be to keep it and that I'm crazy. But there's something I've always wanted, I still want it, and I'm going to get it. I'm happy with the TL, but I'll be happier with what I have always wanted. You want an s2k? You'll get one, whether it makes sense or not. And when you do, you'll be happy, and there's nothing that can compare to being truly happy.
