*As you all know, there was an issue/problem with Night-import and the organizations responsible for this event.
We have decided to start 'promoting' it once again on the forums regardless of our logo being on the official flyer or not. It came down to our family not really caring about the logo issue now, after what we've been through. We started it, and will end it. Thanks for all your support.

This is an event announcement for all car owners living in CA or to those who live out of states and want to attend this event once a month.
Starting from 3/20/11, there will be an event at Irwindale Speedway and the best part is that it won't be a one time event but a MONTHLY event on the last Sunday of every month.
Car Show:
There will be a SET THEME for every month, such as Honda, VIP, Hellaflush, etc. and will be organized by Password:JDM, who will be responsible for the Car Show section. Prizes will be given every month!

Car Show participants: $20 at gate (can bring 1 passenger along for free)
Spectators: $10
Roll-in: 8am-10am
Gates open to the public: 11am
Show ends: 5pm
Most of the event will be around the track area.
Drift:
There will be a Drifting section for Amateurs and Pros and will be organized by Adams Motorsports.
Expect to see famous drifters. (Sam Hubinette, Rhys Millen, Tanner Foust, etc.)
*Amateur Drifters will need to pay a fee to enter.
Drifter: $80

The August 28th Sideways Sundays Car Show will be a combined competition Car/Model/Photographer! All submissions to be made by the photographer, prizes will be awarded to the car owners, models and photographers selected as the winner in each category. Fans of Sideways Sundays August 28th event page can vote for their favorites, the final decision will be made by the judges. See the rules listed below for all the details.
August 28th Sideways Sundays Car Show Rules:
a.Car/model/photographer competition
b.Photographer makes the contest submissions
c.Photographer is limited to his best 3-5 images of each car submitted
d.For entries to be valid submissions must include the name and contact information for the car owner and the model shown
e.Deadline for submissions is midnight August 30
f.All submissions to be posted on the Sideways Sundays event page for August 28th
g.All submissions to be sent to nick@adamsmotorsportspark.com
h.Fans can vote by selecting like for their favorite

*If a driver wishes to lock in a spot in a particular session this Sunday, they should send me an email at jeff@adamsmotorsportspark.com with their name and preference: morning, afternoon or both. The list will be at the driver sign in window.
Sideways Sundays Technical Guidelines
Sideways Sundays is a Grass Roots event intended to give Drifters of all ability levels the opportunity to develop their skills on the Famous House of Drift course at Toyota Speedway Irwindale. For the Beginning and Intermediate Drifters who will not be drifting on the banking this basic tech list will get you started. However, it is by no means complete and just like your driving skills you always want to be improving the mechanical capabilities of your car. Learn more at ZILVIA, SOCAL DRIFT and by consulting the rules books for XDC and Formula Drift.
Beginner/Intermediate Tech List
Battery properly secured and positive terminal covered
Engine compartment free of loose items (air filter, hoses, wires, etc)
No fluid leaks or exposed wires
Brake lights function properly (at least two red functioning brake lights)
Seat properly mounted and secure
Seatbelts properly mounted and secure
Brake pads and rotors in good condition (min 40% thickness)
Tires are road-worthy and safe (min 3/32 tread depth, no sidewall damage)
Wheels and wheel bearings are tight and road worthy
Windshield is free of cracks which might obstruct the drivers vision
Helmet is SNELL certified M95 or SA95 or newer and free of damage
No loose items in passenger compartment or trunk
Open cars require a roll bar
Long pants that cover the drivers lower body from hips to below the ankles are required
XDC/Formula Drift Drivers
All Drifters who expect to drift on the banking individually or in tandem will be expected to meet the basic tech list shown above, as well as the technical guidelines laid out in the XDC and Formula Drift rules books. Technical inspectors will be paying particular attention to the following sections of each rule book:
XDC
All provisions listed under Section 4.0 Technical Requirements and Section 5.0 Safety Equipment.
Formula Drift
All provisions listed under Section 6 Technical Inspection, Section 7 Required Safety Equipment and Section 8 Competition Vehicles.
If you have any questions regarding any of these guidelines please contact us prior to the event or speak with our technical staff the day of the event. Our goal is to provide an event that allows each driver to get the maximum amount of track time possible.
