There's an old Los Angeles Times printing plant right across the street, where I used to work. 26 acres of empty, abandoned industrial looking space. You can try to bribe the security guard with a six pack or something. Maybe he'll let you on the property to take some night shots. Great place for a photo shoot. Have a blast.

There are railroad tracks in the back of the property and heliport right behind the front gate. Movie studios love that place. They shoot commercials there from time to time. I've seen them shoot Bones, 24, and some other TV shows there as well. Nobody hassles them, because it's just empty now. It's own by some toy company, but they're in finacial troubles so nothing's happening there.
