Finally I removed that liner thing from underneath my hood today. Looks so much better, that thing was disgusting.

ok so i just finished my brakes but the side with the new rotor was smokin when i got home... friend said it might be the break in period...any truth to this? my breaking wasnt impaired at all

i know what it was....idiot...either i got brake cleaner on the assembly and it burned off or i noticed there was a residue on the rotor before i put it on...that prolly burned off

First couple of days after I did my rotors they ran hot. Don't know about smoking though....

Who did your brakes, mine need to be bled.

i pretty much did...had a friend help with stubborn bolts and what not. he supervised as well.....

i researched wat the problem could be and thats the likely culprit...fluids or break in...if not my piston might be getting lazy and sticking. i dont think its the last cuz both rotors are the same temp. if it was sticking the smoking one would be hotter.

if it still smokes after a day or 2 its the caliper.

Mine had a burning smell for 2 days after that it was all good. They just need to be bled badly.

also i just have the oe style rotor so it wont dissipate heat as well as yours... i dont think much of my smoking...yet

also about the brakes did you do the bedding process? I did and I didn't have any smoking. I used the Motul 600 fluids though.

Anyways I am finally going to order some new pads to replace these crappy ones. I am getting some racing brake et500 pads. Hopefully its the pads not the rotors. Well if it is it will give me an excuse to order those $500 racing brake 2 piece rotors. Those things are badass.
