74,000 with a fresh clutch .. grabs hard!

I am going to put in GM Syncromesh fluid next weekend .. I had trouble getting into 2nd / 3rd gear today.

From what I've heard .. this fluid does wonders!

 

I've been thinking about doing that too. You and i both have the same transmission. Right now though, my gears go in like a hot knife through butter

 

You should keep the acorn as a weekend and daily the maxima

 

Agreed. I have to say .. this is the smoothest manual transmission I've ever used .. when it works

I wouldn't change fluid until the problem starts happening.

Nay, the Maxima's transmission that was put in is failing .. I don't want to do a 70 mile a day commute in something that is inevitably going to fail lol. I plan on unloading the car on somebody and making $2000 profit on it .. if the transmission failed I wouldn't even get my moneys worth out of it.

I don't mind racking up the miles on the Accord .. I bought the car to drive it!

 

the best thing to do would be to take it back to the place you bought the tranny from and demand they fix it

 

Problem is, I provided the parts (I bought it from a Junkyard .. it only came with 30 days warranty).

Kind of screwed :\.

Clean car mayne. You should lower it and get the Honda Factory Performance kit they have for it.

By the way, i used to always take it to get serviced at Hoehn Honda. There great people.

I get the CL serviced at Hoehn Acura next door.

I don't think I am going to lower this car or mess with the exhaust.

I'm going to keep it relatively stock looking on the outside ...

 

If i were you i would at least get lowering springs to lower it an inch.

U-turns / turning should be fine .. it's when you throw bumps into the equation is when the tires start rubbing.
