I looked up how it's done. I can do it for you, but I don't feel comfortable doing it because there are many steps that are required and I don't want to accidently break something.

There only like $20. Instead of driving all the way here to borrow it, you could just buy one at any Pep boys and get to keep it. You can borrow mine if you want, but I live like 40 minutes away

Yeah he is a mobile Guy, he actualu lives in myrrowta but drives down here to do all his work, might sous wierd but he comes to you, picks up your car, brings it out here to el cajon to work on, and then brigs it back, he keeps all of his prices really cheap because he knows there is always someone that will try to go lower and he just starts off really low,

How quick is quick? From experience, it's a huge pain in the ass to remove the stock airbox. Did he remove the resonator and take the front bumper off?

I would say about an hour or less and it was in the dark, removed the stock airbox and resonator, And took the front bumper off but both of those were done in 5minutes.

So Tuesday I was on my way to San Bernardino, and my trans takes a dump. Limp 12 miles to Acura of Riverside, 20 minutes later I am on my way in a 2010 zdx. Diagnosis is trans needs to be replaced. I rolled in there at 69,421 miles. Warranty is to 70,000! got a call yesterday afternoon and car is done and ready. less than 36 hours! Told em I couldnt get there till saturday, no problem..enjoy the ZDX! my TL is an 06 and never had any trans issues previously. Acura of Riverside has been totally awesome so far!

Not at all, I am actually pleased as punch that it happened when and the way it did! completely painless and under warranty. Just letting everyone know. Now both our Odyssey and TL have had the trans replaced. same drivetrain, so trans are still an issue in these cars

It seems as though Honda can't get an automatic transmission (paired with a V6) right to save their life.

Their 6MTs hold up much better, but even we have synchro issues and gears pop out.

Glad to hear everything worked out accordingly!

What's everybody up to nowadays?

Just an update, I think I am ordering coilovers, camber kit and doing my timing belt service with my tax return.

I'm going low low low .

This. Don't go too low though. Remember, cars handle like shit if they are slammed. Hence why I didn't even get coilovers....

Sounds like the tranny issue went down at the right time. Fresh transmission before the end of warranty coverage. Must have been nice rolling in a ZDX though, eh John?
