Possible new location for So Cal BBQ meets
did you scout this place out josh? or did you just pull it out of your ass
lol. did you check if there was enough seating close to the parking lot? grills that we could actually cook on without them falling apart? cuz i know you love cooking so much. you did such an awesome job at acurafest that im personally nominating YOU! as the chef at the next So Cal BBQ meet. parking fees? did you go check the area around there for "land mines", i mean "dog shit?" give us some info.

parking is free..
there are grills there but i've never used them.. i'll probably check this place out sometime this week at night.. maybe even take pictures for you guys..
one section has a whole parking lot like.. less than 10 yards or something... i'll take a few places that has a roof over us too avoid the sun.
and oh yes! i just LOVVEEE cooking. hahaha

i got pictures of Cerritos Regional Park
most of the areas I took pictures of have parking close by. The last one by the lakeside... a little further.. but won't hurt us..

that park looks nice Josh. the spot closer to the parking lot under the covered tables and grills would be ideal. the other spot with the huge grills is nice to but if it gets too hot you might get Acurafest flashbacks. LOL. lets set ti up

well we need to find out about resv. plus we need to give people enough time to schedule and sign up for it. sometime in between i guess or at the end of August. we want to have a good showing.
remember im a night manager at a grocery store so i can supply the following, for real cheap
1. 2 big bags of charcoal / fluid if needed
2. plates, cups, utensils, napkins.
3. 2-3 24pack waters
im sure i could get all that for under $20
no discount on fresh food items though
unless its packaged stuff and gets accidentally damaged

Cerritos park looks nice. Google maps says its a 49 min drive or possibly 2 hours 40min drive if theres traffic. And did you know google maps now also have the option of choosing by car, by public transit or by walking! If choose by walking it will only take me 13 hours and 19 mins!
Since the Cerritos meet is cancelled, we can do one here.
Parks and Facilities
Permits may be required to reserve a picnic area, gazebo, building, or athletic field in City Parks. Groups of 25 or more guests and moonbounces require a city permit. Permits can be obtained at 230 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866 Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and alternating Fridays.
Permits must be completed by 3 p.m. the Wednesday before the week of the event, except during a holiday week when deadline dates are subject to change--Special Event and Senior Center permits are the exception to the Wednesday deadline and require more advanced notice--please call 714-744-7274.
Cost of permits is contingent on the type of facility being reserved and/or number of attendees to an event. Please call (714) 744-7274 or email Community Services Department for more information.
There are rules that apply to citizens using City of Orange parks. Click here for a list of activities that are prohibited in parks.
