Importing a Canadian (Grey Market) Car Into Cali
Hello all, I currently live in BC Canada with the possibility of moving to the sunny state of California. Wondering if anyone can shed light on the topic. The car is a BC vehicle with a rebuild or USA equivalent "salvage" title. Car has passed all inspections and has been road worthy for about a year now in BC with no legal issues apart from the branded title.
From all the research I've done basically the vehicle has to be USA admissible which I believe the 3G TL'S are as long as they meet California emission standards.
That said, I also have a second gen Suzuki Hayabusa and a 2006 F350 King Ranch Powerstroke lifted with no emissions on it what so ever. So far I believe the only vehicle I could technically import is the TL-S and would have to sell the other two in Canada.
Figured I'd see if anyone can relate.

It might be worth making some long distance calls, just to be sure of everything. I'd call the people who will ultimately be looking at your car, to see what is acceptable and what is required.

It won't hurt like TB said, but honestly i don't think you will have a problem. If you had a R33,or R34 GTR then thats a different story.as that won't pass emissions
