I have a 07 civic 2dr, and I want to know what is average life-span of OEM battery.

I guess I left the car locked while the light on over-night and the next day when I tried to start the car, it didn't start.

I charged the car for about 15 ~ 20 minutes and the next day it had same issue.

So I charged again and this time I charged for about 2 hours and it worked fined for next 24 hours.

Just to make sure I took my battery to Autozone for the test, and the guy is telling me the battery is bad.

I asked him how he determines if the battery is bad and he is not giving clear explanation and respond like he doesn't know shit.

The car is running fine right now but I am afraid it might not start again suddenly.

I bought the car brand new on Nov, 2007, and it seems like it is too early for OEM battery to die....

my car battery lasted about 2 years and 7 months haha id say 3 years is norm for oem

If you're going to change the battery out, I would recommend a Costco battery if there's one close to you. 3 year free replacement and up to 7 year replacement where you only pay a percentage of the new battery (depending on how many years you have on the the old one)

You're under warranty until you reach 50k. Go and get a new one for free.
