Fix it tickets? Do they get worse?

So I got a fix it ticket for tinted windows by Alhambra PD.

If you get caught again with tinted windows. Does it stay on history so they go harder on you the second time, third time, etc.?

I don't mind paying court fees to have it inspected. I just don't want to pay a fine of $100+.

Do you plan to keep it on?

If you remove it and get it checked by CHP, you just have to pay like $10 processing fee at the court (at least thats how my fix-it for HID was ~2 yrs ago)

Yeah I plan on keeping them on but I was wondering. After this is all said and done, say I get ticketed a couple of months later. Would they go harder on me the second time?

Did you have to go to court or just pay where you got it checked out? Damn, I didn't know they gave out tickets for HIDs.

I think for the HID fix it ticket is how blue or purple your HIDs are.

As for the tint, if you get caught again in certain city, the fine will increase

When I got a fix it ticket for tint a little over a year ago, it ended up being cheaper to strip/retint my front windows and pay the court processing fee than paying the larger fine and keeping my tint. The fee is $25, usually you can just mail it into the court. As far as I know fix it tickets aren't on your record once you get it cleared by the chp.

Yes different cities have different rules and fines. In the city of L.A. you don't have the option to pay a higher fine and keep them on.

City of LA have a bigger vicinity. Unlike smaller city. So that is why I like LA cops. They have better thing than bust you for tint or purple HIDs. But they are anal on traffic violation like running red lights or what nots

Best way out for future reference.
-Make friends with a cop.
-Have him sign off all your tickets and pay a small ~$20 processing fee.
-Go on with your day.

It helps to avoid hotspots as well.

LAPD won't usually stop you for tints or HIDs but if they stop you for something else like speeding or failure to stop they will look for everything they can like tinted front windows or no front license plate and add those to the ticket.

I got frustrated with having to redo the tints on my front windows after every ticket so I just leave them tintless now and I roll with a front license plate because I don't have the time or energy to keep go paying the City for stupid things. Plus in L.A. all the fines and inspection fees have gone up so its not worth my time, energy or money.

My friend has a TL so I'm just gonna borrow his windows and pay the processing fee. I just hope I can slide my windows out cause I have window visors that might get in the way.

Sure. Can you find me a silver TL with the same VIN and no tinted windows?

If not then I'm not gonna risk it with a CHP officer.

I just got pulled over by Alhambra PD today. Maybe it was the same cop that pulled over. The officer told me i have 4 violations on my car and just gave me shit for it but ended up letting me go cause I'm not the registered owner of the car. But he told me next time he sees me and I haveNt fixed my shit he's gonna give me a ticket.

Violations were
-front window tint
-exhaust
-too low (lol)
-no front license plate

Are you kidding me? I'm not the owner either.

Was this officer a dark Hispanic? His car had no lights on top but they were inside on the windshield.
This guy had just finished writing someone else up when I passed him then he pulls me over. Don't you have something better to do than pull someone over for a $25 fix it ticket?

Yeah he was. Kind of a tall guy too. Im not so sure about the car though but he had siren lights on his side mirrors. That guy is just harassing on everyone man. Seems like the only guy in Alhambra PD that really cares. Everyone else seems Alhambra PD are chill especially the Asian ones when it comes to modified cars.
