how long will the springs hold on the stock suspension(w/ close to 100k miles) before the shocks go out?

Hard to give you a time or mileage estimate, but I would expect you to get some good time on these. Certainly you'll be looking to replace your shocks sooner or later, and I don't think these will make it happen sooner than you really would do it anyway.
