what is involved w/ the rockchip protection? is it just an additional layer of clearcoat or is the clearcoat harder?

i can get you some pics, rockchip protection works as a harder layer of clearcoat, gives paint a more glossy shine, and prevents a many rocks from scratching it. I'll provide some pics soon

business is kinda slow ? shoot ... i remember the last i hit him up for a hood repaint and he didn't reply back to his PMs nor to his texts or calls. heard he was REALLY busy.

so are you saying we must get rockchip protection along with the repaint? or it's optional?

how much would you quote to repaint a front lip on a 03 TL ?

xtremex626 since he is kinda bad with replyin to forums, i'll be the middleman to take away all confusion, i'm always online so im gonna help him out with the communication part. Summer is always slow. Anyways, yes rockchip protection is optional, but is extremely recommended for parts such as front bumper, lips, hood. because of people who bring cars back saying that there are problems with the paint, such as rock dings and simple scratches.

Also, repaintin a front lip on a 03 tl will be about 90 bucks +30 dollars for paint protection. so it'll come up to be 120.

turnaround time will be 2-3 days, one day to paint, then one day to cure and another day just in case. may be up to 4 days maximum depending on how busy it can get but it's slow right now so i'll say 3 days at most

It's the OE front lip for a 03-05 Accord sedan in silver (Satin Silver or preferably Alabaster Silver), but Honda has discontinued it. I think there might be a few left in black or some other colors... need to check when I have a less shitty work schedule.

What's the cost to roll fenders? I will likely need to get my rear's rolled.

just a few questions.

where is the location?
i dont know anything about paint, so whats the difference/similairity between du pont dealer vs. oem factory painter?
what is the warrenty if it doesnt come out the way "I like it"?
can you repair aluminum?
my trunk is aluminum and has some end corner damage, bent from shipping.
what is the cost on painting trunks?
do you recommend painting a bare trunk on the bottom (inside) of trunk as well as the outter?
how many layers of paint do you recommend , how many clear coats do you recommend?
would you need my whole car or just the trunk?

Lol I see my RSX in them pictures... I don't even remember when my lip was DSM... I sorta miss it. Anyways, I recommend rock chip protection on these paint jobs because it's water base paint. California banned oil based paint (which used to stick much better) so the rock chip protection acts as a sealant too.
