Beautiful Beach Spot in San Diego?

Family wants to go to San Diego and visit the beaches since they're tired of OC beaches already. I'm not very familiar in San Diego so I'm here to ask: what beaches are "beautiful" in San Diego? I guess beaches that middle aged people would like. You guys can name the beaches but it might be a bit harder for me since the beach can stretch on for miles. I guess I'm asking for specific spots? Like where to exit or something like that.

Torrey Pines Beach right off the 56 or the 5. Nice place for families to hang out. There's free parking, but if it's full there's still like ~$6 day parking.

Carlsbad State Beach is further up north. Haven't been there too much, but I think it's popular for surfers, etc.

Mission Beach/Pacific Beach is mehh, I don't go there.

Really nice place to go with the family would be Coronado. Even though it's a little far south of the other beaches, you can walk along the beach as well as go to the Hotel Del Coronado. You can also have a nice dinner and stay at the Hotel Del Coronado.

and this is where you can dine there

GL!

+1 for Torrey Pines.
Check out Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. It's right off I-5 and Encinitas Blvd. exit.

^^La Jolla's a nice place to go, there's some tide pools, seals (they smell), nice place to go for lunch.

^ Yeah I heard from my friend from Encinitas that Moonlight's his favorite beach to hang out.

La Jolla cove has the seals. It does smell a bit by the seals

You can also go to La Jolla shores. That's a nice place to chill. I like to go there.

Coronado by Hotel Del is nice too but not sure how clean the water is there. If you just walking then it's cool. If you want to take a dip I'd rather go up towards La Jolla.

Hmmm, maybe Mission Beach.

Well for SAN DIEGO BEACHES CLICK ME.

OK I made my decision. I'm visiting La Jolla.

This is the reason why:

Can someone tell me where the "Flowers in bloom on the bluff" is? It's 8 pictures down. Parents would probably love the view from up there.

Also, I'm thinking about visiting the cove, then the seal place, then the "crystal clear tide pools". They're not too far apart from each other right?

Also, can someone tell me where I should exit coming from the I-5 South?

Oh, and will the seals be there during this time around?

flowers on the bluff are all over the walkway from the seal place to the tide pools. you can easily walk from the seal place to the cove maybe a couple of hundred yards. from the i-5 exit la jolla village dr, go west and just follow the signs to the cove.
