Thanks everyone for the concern, I'm okay thought I was going to spin out so I'm a little shaken up. Car is okay, it's nothing big, wheels can be repaired and like I've mentioned I wanted a repaint anyways.

^Henry, that looks pretty good. Did you use the Nissan Butyl rubber to seal them?

haha thanks! that was just a test fit . i'm gonna seal it up with the permatex clear rtv sealant .. i heard ge silicon is easier to work with but oh well . i'm using the heat gun method which works wonders . i'm gonna follow anc297's method and just reheat the oem silicone while adding extra silicone from permatex

oo i see. careful w/ the permatex stuff. i wish i never used it in the first place. it got really messy and it's a pain to get off your hands. Reheating the oem silicone w/ a hair dryer is probably not a bad idea.

i used the permatex rtv black and went to las vegas the next day with black gooey hands. Needless to say, it was weird playing poker at the tables with black plastic goo on my hands it all came off in about 3-4 days. I tried goo gone, fast orange, wd40 etc and it barely came off. the clear rtv sealant shouldn't be as bad as the black one though haha

Reheating the oem silicone w/ a hair dryer is probably not a bad idea. A heat gun might be a bit too hot for the job. Tim recommended that I use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun. That worked great for my 2nd reseal since my first seal was leaking a bit and causing some condensation.

Btw, I just finished changing my 3rd and 4th gear pressure sensor. Highly recommended for the AT 3g Night and day difference! Car doesn't feel as lazy off starts and during shifts.

^ yeah .. i might reconsider with that permatex stuff .. i tried sealing up my foglights with that shit and it got real messy and hard to move around after a few minutes .. so once in awhile .. my foglights would condensate .. especially when it rains alot or when it's really cold

Dean, it was nice meeting you this morning while picking up the ATF fluid. Cool business you got going on. Can't believe you only live a couple minutes away from me.

Btw, if you guys need any ATF Z1 fluid, get it from Dean at Honsport. Only $6.50 a quart and about ~ $7.xx after tax. That's better than the Honda/Acura dealership

And no shipping if you pick it up from him in Arcadia.

heat gun the entire time

i tried the hairdryer method and it barely got anywhere .. i'd get one side done .. move to the other .. come back to that one corner and it's already hardened D:

flat head.. and don't pry it.

pull it apart with flat head..

pry, you're gonna damage the U shape where the headlights meet the housings.. you don't wanna damage/bend etc etc that.. thats when you failed and you'll end up with condensation..

it all matters how you open them up.. not just only how you seal them.

^ haha yeah they do look like yours josh . that's how i wanted mines to turn out tbh. imo , you had the best blacked out headlights for a 2G .. most 2G's have their parking light/turn signal painted black as well but i like the light from the bulb to reflect so thats why i decided to leave it there. plus it gives the headlights more of a contrast between the black & chrome.

as for the silver strip, i'm taking that off as well. gotta get it done right the first time!

Dean has his own shop. He does do installs. He specializes in suspension installation. From what I know, he also does brake pad/rotor installation so i'm pretty sure he can do a handload of things. Just give him a call or PM him.

Still, as a precaution man!! Gives your heart some extra time to relax too.... I was completely drained after my accident. Sleeping extra did make me feel better. No stiffness in neck or anything?
