GARDEN GROVE (KTLA) -- The city of Garden Grove wants to crack down on coffee houses some find a little too hot to handle.
The City Council is set to discuss Tuesday whether they should change a cafe ordinance to include banning how much skin waitresses can show on the job.
Many claim the so-called lingerie cafes in the Little Saigon neighborhood, famous for their scantily clad waitresses, have become a hot bed for crime since they started popping up in the mid-1990s.
They are also seeking to eliminate arcade games and smoking, since many believe the establishments serve as fronts for illegal gambling rings.
According to the Orange County Register, there are 37 of these restaurants in Garden Grove.
Earlier this year police raided more than 20 of those cafes, bars and pool halls, confiscating more than 200 illegal gambling machines and 23 arrests.
Business owners say banning the arcade games would deter customers.
The ordinance would also prohibit the tinting of restaurant windows to prevent police from seeing what goes on inside.
