BBQ/Potluck - 7/31/10
Anyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the sun, get burned, meet new people and talk about how awesome, or how not awesome
your/his/her car is. Or just come out to enjoy some food.
If people can bring some items listed below would really help out. Bringing money to a potluck is pretty lame. Sign up for what we have listed. I like to have a few back ups just in case that person with the forks doesn't show up, at least someone else will come up with it. Parking is free and the grill is first come first serve. If somebody PLEASE can get there early (cough people that live >10 min local), get to the grill!

Important stuff: Unless you wanna eat with and out of your hand

Fade 2 Black isn't as good IMO

just curious, which engine oil are you guys using? and where do you guys purchase them?
fyi most speed3 owners are putting pennzoil platinum synthetic on their cars..

as for the oil fiter, i ordered Fram XG3614. i do'nt know what it is, but the speed3 guys said its a pretty good one so.. yeah
can't wait to do my first oil change! yyyyyeeeeeaa

I use whatever is on sale. I have about 20 qts. of Pennzoil Platinum and 15 qts of Pennzoil regular right now. If Mobil 1 goes on sale, I'll buy that. If Castrol goes on sale, I'll buy that.
I mainly try to use synthetic though. But the $0.99 a qt. Pennzoil regular was too good to pass up.
Walmart is probably the best place to buy from though. A 5 qt jug of Mobil 1 is like $22 and a 5 qt jug Pennzoil Plat. can be had for about $15 right now if you can find the bottles with the $5 coupon on them.
Filters? Mobil 1, Wix, Napa, Purolator, and K&N are all good. I usually stay away from Fram because they are the suck, but the XG model is not bad.
A lot of times, places like Pepboys, Autozone, Kragen/O'reilly will have Mobil 1 specials... 5 qts and a Mobil 1 filter for $30. That's not a bad deal since the filter itself sells for like $10.
