I use Liquid Wrench- White Lithium Grease. You can purchase it at Lowes.

 

I know it isn't, but he doesn't have an Acura anymore, and i doubt that he checks that thread?

 

I have some of that in my garage, but I've NEVER sprayed my coil threads after the initial install. I used the stuff that came with them one time, and with the dust boot over the threads...you should be fine.

You're right. I don't know if he checks it or not. I wasn't trying to sound like a jerk. I just wanted to let you know that there's a specific thread for that.

white lithium grease can be bought almost anywhere. auto parts stores even have them. i got a can of that and i used it for my squeaky door and loud computer fan. thought there was no more use for it, but thanks for the coilover lubrication tip !

nope , i had to drive the van there cause my tl couldnt fit it. but i did give them the color code , i told them it was anthracite metallic , then charcoal grey. i thought that was enough info for them to colormatch it .. but oh well.

well thats what happens when you're back on a budget D: got all front , side , and rear done for 200. im sure it would've been a closer match if i brought my car there and if i provided them with the type of anthracite metallic, in my case: A.

 

Problem is your car's paint fades over time. The lip is probably close to what your car looked when it was NEW... Unless you have your car there so they can body match the paint, you're stuck with these problems
