Anyone in I.E. want $50 to help me blackout headlights?

Ive done this on my sti, but i never painted anything in a headlight. I will attempt to do this, but it would be nice to have someone with experience speed up the process. If your in the area of riverside, loma linda, redlands, ontario and want to make $50 to help guide me, come on over! Or i can even go to your place, whatever you feel more comfortable with. Ill bring a 12 pack!

they're all basically the same process.. heatgun/bake, pry open, take out amber reflector (if you want), strip down chrome/wetsand, 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, 3 coats of clear, done.

i think he wants to ask help from someone who has experience, not just someone who wants to learn.

Right, that person who has experience is you, and he's paying you for your time. I'm not asking for any kind of compensation, and I didn't think that having an extra pair of hands to helpout with whatever (like taking off the bumper or headlights) would be intrusive.

dude, the more the merrier! sorry i havent replied to the thread, its midterm week here in loma linda and its ruining my life. anyways, we should definitely get this done sooner than later! btw, is it common for people to smoke out the headlight instead of replacing it with something blacked out? just wondering.

I believe any tint done to your headlights or tail lights are illegal...in California. Black house is a different story.

sorry, i should have clarified that - i meant black housing it. are there alternatives to spray painting it, and instead buying one already blacked out?

Kinda lost me there...since you kinda sounds like you answered your own question. Lol. If your ask for other ways besides spray painting it...well I don't think there are. You make your own or get those Depo ones if you like. Atleast if your spray paint them, you can custom them as you wish.
