advice? have to sell my car.

sad news =(! i'm moving and i need to sell my 2006 rsx-s. does anyone have any recommendations as to where i should post/sell my car?

also, i still owe a little bit of money on it. my friend told me that i should pay it off before i sell it, that i would have any easier time selling it if i own the car outright. thoughts?

thanks acura friends! =D

Hey kono,

Your friend's right. If you have the title in hand, you'll have an easier time selling it. Where are you located? Maybe you can post your car on CraigsList?

I've bought and sold a car on craigslist before. Both cars were paid off and made the whole process alot easier for both buyer/seller. I would definitely recommend putting a "for sale" sign in your car and maybe park it at the mall or walmart on the weekends or when your not driving it. Autotrader is a good website to place your car for sale. Personally I would "not" recommend Ebay because their fee's are too expensive. Hope this helps....good luck!

Craigslist is the first place I go to when trying to buy used cars.

So definitely use Craigs List.

craigslist is your best bet, its easy, free and alot of people know about it. its as famous as cars.com and autotrader. i sold my prelude on craigslist.

definitly have the title in your hand is easy. you can just sell the car up front. i sold my car to the new buyer withing 30 minutes of him checking it out filling out the paper work and it was a done deal.

If you don't, it is not impossible to sale. i have two friends that both bought 350z from their previous owner on craigslist. but the previous owner still owe some money. it made the process much more difficult but two weeks later they both got their car, and both the seller was able to sale their car. (you have to talk to go to the bank, get a loan etc or go with the new buyer to the counter to pay off the car to get the title in your name and then transfer it to the new buyer)
