05 TL trying to install Accord foglights

I'm LA/OC area.

Can someone help me install Accord foglights in my TL?

I REALLY want to do this but don't have enough balls to do it myself.

I can definitely pay you some fees or treat you some nice KBBQ. We can work something out.

Please, someone in LA/OC area. HELP!

Thanks

- Aaron

you can do it man...just get the bumper off completely and go for it...the rest will come and research the forum. There is no right way to do it and by the same token there is no WRONG way to do it. I cursed myself for undertaking this the whole time I was doing it and guess what...everyone thinks it's stock...bumper back on and aspec kit it looks great.

Just wire the fog onto the stock existing foglight from the headlamp housing. Just need to extend the wires and you're done.

Are you going with replica or OEM ones? I can possibly assist with wiring from what I remember in using the one gray relay and whatnot. I had it wired to the stock fogs originally but didn't want to lose their functionality so I ended up adding in the accord wiring.

Let me know...you can be talked through this!

what's the price difference between replica and OEM? i just realized that i don't even know which items to purchase. haha where do i purchase the kit?

Plus, I'm going to put a HID kit for the foglight, would there be any problems with the foglight housing by excessive amount of heat caused by HID?

Yes.....if you using those cheapo Ebay OEM style accord foglight, RUN HID. if you run regular bulbs you will melt the lens. Lens are plastic where as the original lens are glass.

so you still dont have the kit? if you want to buy an HID kit locally, there is a place in HB that sells them for 70 bucks.

http://70dollarhids.com/

you can likely pick it up too.

Yeah, and shipping peanuts too.

Ok...seriously,
OEM was the only option for me...it was $177 shipped from handaaccessories.com about 4 months ago, not sure now but you can check. With that, you will get ALL You need to do this...the bezels, bulbs, and wiring and switch. As far as HID's go...don't worry about that just yet...get the fogs installed first then deal with that...I was able to swap out my halogens for HID's later on through the wheel well fender lining.

Either way, don't overwhelm yourself and tackle each phase one at a time...physical install, then wiring, then hid's. I also would recommend you check out www.ddmtuning.com look at the raptor kits. I paid 39 bucks for mine and for another 35 picked up a set of DS2 bulbs so the color would be exact. So far so good and I'm going on 2 months without a flicker or anything.

here's a pic (also bought nokya yellows for stock fog location which I have a daytime running light module connected to.)

^ You know what?

That is the EXACT set up that I wanted for my TL.

Wow.. that looks real good.................

So, I'm going to order the accord foglight housing from handaaccessories.com (what's the part number for the fog light kit?) and a 9006 6K HID kit from HIDEXTRA. Plus, I'm ordering a pair of 6K D2S bulbs as well for my low beam to complete the look. I already have the yellow bulbs in my original fog, but I don't know how to get that DLR module wired...

Those are everything that I need to complete this thing right? I guess I can try to do this next week when I receive everything from the vendors.

The only thing that I'm worried about is that I have no idea how to connect wires...... hmmm..

Yeah, I think I'm going with that method since it doesn't require taking off the bumper. I don't have any proper tools so it takes so much time for me to take off the front bumper.
