These are Type-2. They blink AMBER... AMBER.... AMBER.... AMBER.... when turn signal is engaged and switch back to white when the turn signal is shut off or in parking light mode. They also flash when you hit the lock / unlock button on your key fob.

Recently purchased new 5k switchbacks from V-LEDs to replace my 6k switchbacks. I purchased these on eBay and have had them on the car for about a year. Here's the link to the eBay listing for it.

The eBay picture may look like it's 5k pure white but it's not. It's definitely 6k white (blueish-white hue). You can see these go for $40 on eBay. I'm willing to sell mine for $25 shipped.

 

I need to have clear headlights to make these look right, don't i?

 

i dont think you can tell a difference with the amber diffuser still in

 

Correct. You must have cleared out headlights in order to get the best use out of any switchback bulbs. My car is cleared out with a USR style clear diffuser in place of the OEM amber diffuser.
