Your funny man, Above me dude is accusing me of making a "business" out of this. He thinks i get you guys to send me lights, and claim one is broke as a generic picture. although BEFORE anyone mails me them i STRESS and STRESS how fragile the corners of the TL lights are. Heres pix of HIS LIGHTS and his shitty box he CRAMMED the lights into. I have a garage full of lights, and tons of broken TL lights, if I wanted to I would have said both of them were broke. I have no problem sending you back BOTH of your lights for a refund. I do not however have time to be tossing money in the garbage for your lack of proper packaging something..i have far more profitable/time consuming things to do then scam someone on a forum ive been part of for about 3-4 years?

am not sure how the box has a hole....the hole doesnt seem right since I dont see any stress markings around it....
well you disputed on paypal and I responded back and gave you 2 options to pick from....

there is obviously no need to for name calling dude....I have been calm thro this....i am the one encountering a loss here....
those pix are not of my tail....I sold you the tails for $65 shipped and your expecting $35 back ? thats more than half not even considering my expenses....seems greedy doesnt it ? if you would have asked for $25, i would have send you the money just to avoid this grief....

i can attest to swoosh as a perfect buyer/seller. i extremely doubt he packaged the lights poorly. i have a package from him myself at home that was packaged better than most companies ship products. and they are cats, not something fragile like this....
See all those tail lights? I sell about 100 of them a month, and have less then 1% break, guess what i wrap the hell out of them, and STILL have TL lights break. The packaging was not that great at all (for tail lights at all). Im not saying its his fault, the shipping companies are rough too. But as a SELLER your the one responsible, make that box be able to fall off a 10 story building. if I smoke a set of lights and they were $250, and it gets broke in the mail, guess whos responsible? Me i take the hit on it, thats the way it works.thats what insurance is for, (which I rarely get, because i wrap the hell out of them). anyone i buy TL lights off I stress and stress how important it is to wrap the hell out of them. I just got pissed when you accused me of lying and making a business out of it scamming people

I know that UPS repackages them if they see that the original box has been compromised; this is where it can go awry. They just stuff the original contents into a small box without any padding so they can cover their own ass, saying that 'they saw the original box was compromised so we did out part to reassign it to another box.'
First check to see if rsx 2 env received the same box you shipped it in, and make sure the padding and cushioning is the same; you can ask him to send you pictures. There are specific ways to ship tail lights to prevent the corners from even touching the walls of the box or the base of the box... be careful. Tail lights are the MOST fragile part of the TL to ship and packaging them is SO crucial as rsx 2 env has stated.
Make sure everything he received is what you used to package. I already see some lettering on the box so make sure that is the same box you used to ship the tails in. If they are different, then the carrier is to blame. The seller claims that the packaging was 'a crappy ass job' but as swoosh is a trustworthy member here I doubt it was his own doing. The carrier might have tampered with the original box.

It is the same box and i put layers or bubble wrap and paper....there were 4 layers (2 each) on all side (top, bottom and 4 vertical sides).....I dont know how the OP received them, he just said they were chipped....he did ask me to pack em well, which in my opinion i did....but guess the box gave in or something like that....
I am heading to FEDEX to see if they can do something, I know either i took insurance or declared to value (something like that)....

Sorry to hear about your tails Swoosh, but I can vouch for the buyer as I actually sold him my 04 tails for less than the amount he states he would pay for tails. He gave me the full value of what he pays for tails in my condition regardless that I had a lower asking price, which I felt was extremely fair. My tails were in perfect condition and he stressed in detail in 2 messages how to wrap it and to make sure I covered corners as they tend to be the parts that break off when he receives them; upon which if receiving them in that condition than obviously the deal would not go through. I packed them with bubble wrap as well as probably 30 plus little plastic grocery store bags. I packed it to the point that nothing moved in that box and I had to have someone help me close it.
I have sent tails before and have had the corners chip...it happens, had to buy new tails, and it was a lesson learned. Regardless, buyer is legit...again sorry to hear Swoosh.

you are so far behind in the convo you dont even know what is going on. The remark he made to me initially was lying about was in a PM, UPS and fedex, usually give you $100 free insurance, although I could care less. Go and deal with insurance I dont have time to dick around with the shipping companies in the end its the seller who packages things, (which sucks but thats just the way it is) all the carriers are hard on things, ive had plently of broken things, Ive had tons of broken tail lights shipped to me. When im in the tail light business I expect it. I just dont have time to dick around with all the time wasted in insurance, Ill offer a fair price on one side, or ill just send them back.
I sent the buyer NUMEROUS pix of the lights, and the box, a very specific box "bodybulding" writing on it. Cant really dispute that. Right off the bat the box was way too small for shipping TL lights. I spend probably $200 a month in tail lights, I send all kinds. Ill be the first to admit I use industrial (large bubble) and STILL had TL lights break in the mail, its like the carriers play soccer with the boxes or something. As frustrated as you are, imagine after I put about 4 hours of time into a set (and about $50 in materials) I sold for about $200 and one arrives broke. The customer gets after me, and I AM responsible. It sucks but its just how it is, 350z lights and TL lights are the most prone to this, and the ones I get insurance on the most. Atleast if usps breaks one, I get paid the full amount I charged the customer for the lights being painted etc

yeah since it was my first time this happened....am having my tails shipped back to me and i will refund him the full amount what he paid....i hope when the tails get back to me, the other one is not broken coz that will create complications, ya know what i mean....then i will have spend $20 and have 2 chipped tails
again i didnt mean to accuse the OP of anything....he might be the most legit person on earth....but the hole in the box without any stress marks around it and my tails have a small brown make on the edge (cant see them in the pix), and the buyer not asking me to take my tails back but demanding $35 which is more than half of what he paid minus the shipping and paypal fees, did force me to think....sorry am only human....

Theres no reason for stress marks on the box, it looks as if when you packaged them the corner had already popped out of the box you may have not noticed, or packaged them very tightly and in transit the corner managed to pop its way out of the box, (from the inside out). I wish I wouldnt have touched the box really, I picked up the box and immediately felt the light sticking out of the box. I should of left it sealed, sent a pic and returned it from there. Often times though, (which i have done for members on here) I can epoxy the lights and sand them down, and do my routine painting and it looks 100% like new, since swoosh light poked out of the box, the corner was no where to be found in the box leaving the light useless to me. If anyone is out anything it is me for returning the lights. Fedex should cover the cost of the tail lights to you, and original shipping. I just dont have room to keep inventory of broken lights until fedex asks to see it or the time to follow up with the amount of broken items I receive,

anyway Brian...as i said....we went over this matter and you shipping the tails back to me...make sure your experience comes in when you send em back to me....
I will be talking to Fedex and hoping they cover the tails in shipping insurance....if you can be so kind and email me the pix to my gmail address where you send the paypal....
If they cover the insurance, i will reimburse you for the shipping cost which you will incur the ship em back to me....

what does it have to do with fedex and coming against you? You right click save the pictures to your computer, same exact thing of me sending them to you via email. Fedex doesnt care how/where you got the pix lol. You watch too much CSI man

Just finished filing a claim with FedEx.
Please place the lights in the damaged box. Bubble wrap me as well. FedEx will pick it up from you. You will not need to pay for return shipping as well.
So your PayPal account has been refunded and FedEx will pick up the tails from u.
Also am still awaiting the pix from you as I will need to send em to FedEx (email form).

My paypal account hasnt been refunded, if you want them in email form, right click save as. Open up email and email them to yourself. Like I said fed ex can look all they want, there at my house everyday anyway not a problem, but there not taking the tail lights without me getting a refund

its just going out of my way and waste more time then I already have, I hope your getting close to being done tearing up my thread, so I can open a new one or have a mod clean this one up. Buying things, even for your business, does not require vendor status. We have several other members who posted WTB threads for things that they reuse and sell and there's nothing wrong with that as long as they don't advertise.
I'm closing this thread. You two can go to PM's and settle your problem and x rsx 2 env x can post a new WTB thread, where we will not continue this particular problem. I'm sure x rsx 2 env x has bought many tail lamps as a result of this thread, and everyone is bound to have a problem sometime so I don't look on this as something that needs to be watched or monitored.
